Default Anyone wiho purchased the GTSpec mid-chassis brace ?

For those who have purchased ...any comments?

I already have the Progressive Tech rear sway bar and the GTSpec front chassis brace---want to know if having this 'mid-chassis' brace will make any improvement and if so, if you could indicate percentage wise its improvement?

TIA...

The orange one is the 4-point brace, he's talking about the mid-chassis brace, the blue one. Don't get me started on why they have TWO items for the xB and one is powder coated orange and the other is anodized blue...?

I put them both on at the same time, so I couldn't split the effects if there was any from the mid-brace. The Box is handling SO NICELY now though, I must say, with the Progress Rear Sway, FSTB, the GT-Spec stuff and the 2 inch drop. The light wheels and Fuzion tires help too. The steering feels so light and nimble, quick to respond.

From what I read about the mid-chassis brace, you'd really be having to push a Box to its limits to notice. The other two interesting things about it seem contradictory:

It is said there are only 8 of these in the US, so it's rarity is nice. They also said to notice the two extra threaded holes on it that they may be tying into another product. My concern is that if there are only 8 of these out, is there going to be a big enough demand for them to design the tie-in piece? Hopefully they are working on the next part and then they will have more than 8 of the mid braces available then...

The mid-chassis brace is more for aesthetics, nevermind that it's in a place few people will ever see... If I start seeing posts about people's OEM mid braces failing, I'll feel more secure. Otherwise, I consider it a package deal and keeping my fingers crossed that more good stuff is on its way for it.

i recommend the trd mid/rear brace over any other.. actually ties the rear axle into the mid of the car.

I powder coated mine to match the car. I did the same thing
to my front and rear sway bars as well as my S-tech springs.
you can't see much of them, but they match. I think I will have
a mid/rear brace custom fabricated as I don't like what's
available right now.

I personally know the owner of GTSpec. He said the tie in product is still in R&D stage so there's no release date yet.

yes,

you will need to drill two holes to get it to fit...
but, if you drill them in the wrong spot it will never work...
