Default Driver Side sturt spring noise?

Whenever i go over bumps or dips in the road It sounds like there is a metal on metal clinking from the drivers side tire... I am running axis maglite 17's on a 35 series tire w. a tanabe df210. I think that the sound is comming from the strut. I took it all apart and put it back together and the noise quit for about 50 miles or so Is it possible that this is just the sound that the spring makes when settleing in? Or did I blow a strut?

if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it! thanks

brad

I had the same problem with my front pass. side strut.

Open the hood, pop the cap on the top of the strut and tighten the nut in there.

They come from the factory with some grease on the bolt to prevent rusting, some of it can get in the threads and keep the bolt from locking down when you first installed your springs.

Did that solve the problem? bc i redid the spring and tightened it down again with a compressed air gun .... and it seemed good?

Yeah, check the strut nut. I had one come loose last year on my coilovers.
