Default Energy Suspension End Link Bushings installed!!!!

I just installed a set of universal energy suspension bushing end links. part number ENS-9-8122R. The kit has a 1" spacer. When i took the old ones out the space was exactlly 1" so i didnt have to modify anything. The only concern might be the length of the bolt. I am not sure it allowed me to tighten it 100% tight. i might go get shorter bolts at the hardware store. I test drove the BB and it feels alot more responsive when turning. I am totally confident this is the best suspension mod for the dollar. The part was actually only $13.69 at summit racing. and handling was $8.95. so for $22.64 it was well worth it. I recomend this mod very highly. Here is a link to my yahoo photo album with the installed pictures. Any comment are welcome.

i'm definitely going to do this once i get my xB. I bought a energy suspension bushing kit for my echo. Went to Home Depot and got 4" Grade 8 steel bolts and nylock nuts and it definitely made a big difference for the money! (Thanks Brian for telling my how to do it!)

Hrmmm...got a pic of the problem, hornet_on_flower? You can always use the Energy bushings with grade 8 bolts from a hardware store.

i lack a digital camera i like spending money on my car not my self :? car first then me i wonder if they make polyurethane bushings the size of the factory bushings i wish!!!

when i put 'em on the bolts was little bit too long and it was right up on the half shaft!!!

when i tried i put the bolt going UP and the nut on top side... then i saw the pics on http://groups.msn.com/Sorensonbrian/...isswaybar.msnw and he has 'em bolt going down with the nut on the bottom

so i might have to try that sunday after work tomorrow i'm doin the state fair

You have to jack up both sides of the front right? On my echo i had to, and i had to use a crowbar and a friend to pry each side of the sway bar up so i could get the stock bolt with the space in the middle out. Is the xB like that too?

Sorry. . . I'm new to this part. Anyone care to give me a very brief explanation of what they do and/or how they work?

their just more durable and better bushings to replace the cheap (i don't even think they are bushings) rubber pieces that tie the front sway/stabilizer bar to the lower control arm (hope i'm right). I just notice more solid steering and better ease of mind after putting them on my Echo, and for like 15$ you can't go wrong. It was a lot more time consuming to install then i thought it would be, but like everything, once i installed them it felt much better.

UPDATE: well i started to notice with the 4.5" bolt in that my sawy bar was too high up and was actually hitting my under frame. what i had to do was cut the spacer that came in the kits to 1/2". what happen was the new bushings are thicker than the OEM that it caused my swaybar to sit too high. Also bought new 4" bolts instead. So with the 4" bolt and the cut in half spacer it works great now. All i need is a rear sway bar and im set.

so the setup is the universal end link set. with cut in half spacer, and 4" bolt. use grade 8 bolt to be safe.

This sounds awesome. Anyone know of any possible adverse effects? And post a link to bushings please.
Thanks for the awesome mod.
