Installed the energy suspension endlink bushings, put grease on'em to prevent any squeaking, needed to trim a bit off the bolt.

It's actually the same diameter as the stock bar. That is why the Hotchkiss bars are a waste. I got the Whiteline one for the rear and now I'm all set.

Trimmed 3/8" off bolt. Do Polyurathane Bushings last a long long time.

Default STICKY PLEASE the bEST

BEsT MoD EVER!! can someone sticky this please?? everyone should do this asap. Bushings signifigantly improved handling and softened ride. Put progress sway bar on few days later, completely solidifying turning ability Donuts like nothin
(have TRD springs =1" drop, trd-sportino shocks, on stock wheels)

Jethro B wrote:Auto Zone HAS the Energy Suspension bushings we need for the front application.
The part # is 9.8105R It comes with all the washers needed and the 8 red bushings. Then all you need are the 2 Grade 5, 4 inch long bolts and and 2 NYLOCK nuts. (OSH/hardware)
I got tired of hearing MIS-information and called my local Autozone and got the part# I used on my toaster.

Default Amazing

I did this to my box Friday night and it makes an incredible difference. Very worth the $14 total I spent. I did get the bushings at AutoZone. They had one set in stock.

The only other change from stock on my car is the tanabe DF210 springs I installed in July. The bushing replacement was just a dramatic of a change. Made the front end stick much better not to mention how it improved the ride. I was blown away.

If you do nothing else, do this.

I bought the bushings last night and picked up the bolts today. It will be Saturday night before I get them installed. Out of town this week for the holiday. I just replaced them on my S-10 about two weeks ago and although the ride was not improved, the handling certainly was. It was actually a very dramatic improvement.

I found that the front end absored bumps better. There is a sharp transistion between a concrete off-ramp and the asphalt road that I traverse on the way to work that used to feel like my front end was being hit with a hammer. That same transistion is much gentler now. I guess that's what I mean about a smoother ride. I've noticed that all the sharp bumps in the road feel are a little easier on the car. I'm sure it's not the placebo effect but if it is, I'll take it.

I finally installed the bushings today after having them for a few months. With considerable swearing I finally got the passenger side bushing on. I would agree that both the ride and handling are improved. I should have done this when I first got them. Now all I need to do is install some Monroe Sensatracks.

Ok so will these bushing help transitions and/or ride smoothness? For $15, I'll try it I guess.

I've just done MANY things to my xB in the last month to get comfort and quietness, much to my satifiscation and now I'm seriously considering these bushing and etc.

I could care less of cornering getting better but for comfort/quietness.
