ok i just wanna know if i went coilovers vs springs.
what is going to be a more comfortable ride.
what companies should i be looking at.
reasonable prices would be good.
im running on 15's but going 16's next yr. i would like to be able to adjust it with the coilovers cuz of of winter and im going to stiffn it up abit more as well.

If it's a daily driver I'd stick with springs. Then throw the stockers back on for winter duty. Only takes an hour to swap them out once you get the routine down. Spend the other coin on other stuff.
I'd recomend some nice Tein S-Techs for summer duty.

Everyone seems to really love the KW coilovers, but how do they compare to the Tein SS+P with the EDFC? I'm looking to go coilovers, and the EDFC is the main selling point for me, since I love the idea of adjusting the dampening on the fly.

From a price point they will be about on the same level with the add-on of the EDFC box. I have not had personal experience with either on my ride and I sell both so no bias. The EDFC box gets the nod for coolness factor for sure but you do have to wire it up, dampening is adjustable on the KW's but it's manual I have heard night and day stories from a customer who went from springs to another brand of coilover then to the KW in a short time frame and said the ride quality is awesome in comparison, not bouncy at all and he does not rub as before with 18's. As he is picky about getting quality products that function I'm taking his word on it.

Eibach Sportlines. 2" drop all around, they're a progressive spring rate so they'll be pretty comfortable while cruisin and they stiffen up when you toss the car in a corner, and they're a hell of alot cheaper than a coilover setup. I'm on 15" rims right now, stock Goodyears for the past 2 years but I'm upgradein to some Eagle GTs soon, and the ride is very comfortable for everyday driving and the grip is awesome. I also have the TRD rear swaybar, polyurethane front swaybar bushings, and Megan strut tower bar and front under chassis brace and the car handles like a dream.
Got my springs from wesellcarparts.com for $205 with their promo code "eibachscion". Excellent product n excellent service.

That is why I went springs ^
I'm a cheapskate!
I did the bushing upgrade and a rear sway (I'm running Progress) as well and those two made a huge difference! My box is on budget rubber right now but DriverXa is spot on with a tire upgrade to finish it off. Great little setup!

Thank u sir.
Yea I'm goin with the newly redesigned Goodyear Eagle Gt. Switching from a 185/60/15 -> 195/55/15. Better compound, better water channeling, a tad more meat with a tad less sidewall. Should be a much higher capable tire and will go great with my lightweight rims. But yea, with quality springs like the Sportlines and all the other suspension mods you do come up well below what coilovers cost....and you'll get a much more comfortable ride. Coilovers are going to be to uncomfrotable for everyday use, imo.

I would look into a different set up. I'm currently running the S-Tech's and Koni Yellows and I have 16x7's and the S-tech's rub a lot once they sag, it's a decent ride but not comfortable. Not to mention speed bumps, and potholes aren't that great. I would look into the Eibach's, Espilir, or Tanabe's with Koni's. I know everyone swears by the Monroe's but the Koni's are way better, they're valved better.

Myself will go for Konis the next time around, like in 10 years when I'll need new shocks.

Yeah, when your Monroes give out go out and buy new ones. I'll just send mine in to get rebuilt for way cheaper than buying a new set of shocks. Thats another benefit of Koni's, true you spend more in the begining but you never have to buy another set of shocks again. Just rebuild them, and If you really want you can have them custom valved specifically according to your set up. Not to mention that Koni shocks are ranked overall better than most coilover shocks, and OE shocks in the market. Having a good spring and Koni set up have been proven to yeild better results than most coilovers. That's why a lot of people use Koni Shocks in their race cars with a Ground Control coilover kit. Good shocks from a reputable company like Koni, and good Springs from Eibach who makes the springs for Ground Control and you'll never have to touch your suspension again.
