Goldlines & 215/40/18's - PICS

That looks great man! Can't go wrong with the Goldlines. That's what I run. I also run 18's with a Nitto 35 and I just might go with 40's next time too. My 35's aren't that bad but I'd like to try out the 40's next time. Plus I've heard good things about Hankook's. Great looking tire for a good price.

Matt, I Love the look of your ride. Just ordered my new shoes, 18 x 7.5 Konig Unknowns with 215/40/18's from www.wheelsdirectonline.com I'm pretty sure the salesguy mentioned 45 offset, is this correct? Or do i need to change it to a 42 offset? I am also doing the GoldLine drop and was wondering if you know if i will have rubbing issues with the 45 offset. Thx, any info would be greatly appreciated

I was wondering this guy at my work got some 18 inch rims with 40 sereies tires but his rubs all the time when he turns does yours do that. Also I had 40 series tire's on my RL they rode pretty good. I got 30 series on my box right now with the Goldline spring's and it ride's pretty good also. I guess the whole "how my car rides with 40-30 series is just a matter of opinion". They are both cool to me. But by the way nice BOX.

Can somenone please answer this question. Im getting a 18 x 7.5 with a 45 offset. It appears a majority are running a 42 offset on the 18 x 7.5. My question is this, does the 45 offset bring the rim out towards the outside fender? Or does it bring it closer to the inside of the fender. If it brings it to the outer edge of the fender, meaning a more flush experience, it appears that i wont need to use a shim or spacer, is this correct? Thx

the lower the offset the further out
the higher the offset - the more it will stick in
im running the EXACT combo .. or will be tommorow when i put my wheels on
you need to run the OTG shim spacers in the rear .. a 45 offset WILL NOT WORK on a 18x7.5 rim without rubbing issues .. after the OTG shim spacer.. ure wheels will be a 35 offset in the rear
as for the fronts... from my readings .. it dosent appear that you need to do anything for the fronts... there should be no rubbing issues .. but if for some reason you do .. just get a 5mm spacer
i decided as well to go with a 215 40 for more tire ... i work in boston and the roads are hell here ...
im running FF7's gloss black/ pol lip with 215 40 18 gforce kdw2's ... and im dropped on goldlines with the OTG shim spacer in the rear. Once i put the wheels on tommorow ill post back if i am seeing any rubbing issues
