Default K-sport OR Tein basic for a Low Comfortable Ride.

First off experience only need apply. I have a opportunity to either get a set of K-sport coilovers or Tein Basics. Which need apply for what im looking for. Is there really any difference in the two sets other than the dampening adjustment on the k-sports. Any help is greatly appreciated. Oh BTW i will be running 205/50/16 +15 on a 16*8 wheel. Thanks in advance.

I recently installed a set of K-sport coilovers and absolutely love them. I can't really complain except for the fact that I have to slow way down for certain bumps, which is definitely going to happen. I am running the rear all the way down and the front all the way up with the dampening turned up all the way and back down 2, which is still stiff, but doesn't jar you as much on the freeways and whatnot. I am ok with the stiffness now. Anywho, I am running 18 x 8.5 work eurolines with 215/35/18 tires. I also have the OTG camber shims in the rear and camber bolts in the front. Last time I had it aligned about a week ago, I am at 4 degrees of camber in the rear and 3 1/2 in the front.

Thanks for the Reply. I'm actually coming down from 18's cause of the hard ride. Does it bounce around at all?

Just a bit, mainly on the freeways because of the way they pave them at an angle. The nice thing about the K-sports is that the heigh adjustment in the front is on the steering nuckle bracket itself, so the preload is totally separate. I ended up buying stiffer springs than what came with the coilovers because I am so close to the fenders.

i would go with the k-sports because of the dampening adjustment.
ive got the tein ss coilovers (love them) and the dampening adjustment makes a huge difference.

I would have to agree with them. I have the K-sports and really like the ability to change dampening. I am actually running the same wheels and tire setup 205/50/16 16X8 +25. I have the back all the way down and the front about 2 1/2 down (approx). I have OTG camber shims in the back at 3 degrees. The front camber adjustment built into the K-sports is all the way over which gives about 1-2 degrees I think.

I had turned the dampening all the way to stiff and found it to harsh for daily driving (even with those fatty 50 series tires). I ended up turning it all the way to soft for daily, and occasionally go hard when I want to mess around.

I will eventually get a lower series tire because I want to lower the front more, but thats when more money falls in my lap. Let me know if you have any other ???

And sprslug, thats a nice ride. Post some more pics in this thread:
