question for the the KSport and D2 owners in here....

I find the rear springs toooo soft. Theyre only 167-169lbs/in. That's ridiculous I think. Im looking to get something harder (250-300lbs/in). I measured the top of the stock spring and it's 2.5" ID. Would it be safe to assume the bottom is also 2.5" ID??

Also, anyone know how long the rear Ksport or D2 springs are?

BTW, 1epoxybox, when I put my front shocks to the hardest dampening, the ride was too bouncy. I have it at the softest setting and its great. I have D2s (similar to Ksport).

Hey Nerd, check out this thread. He was talking about switching the springs out:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...410&highlight=

I have not set the shocks to soft yet, so I will definitely try it out. Sorry I don't know about the other questions.

Thanks, although I already spoke to him about the rear springs. He only changed the ones in the front.

As it is, I have already parted ways with the screws in an attempt to salvage the edges of the tires...

You need to put a spacer @ fender and build a new bumper bracket to push bumper out to match new fender alignment.

I am on D2's. Just for fun, I'd like to chime in.

Lets see.... Ride amazing. I'm set one full turn (360degrees) from full hard. Front and back.

I rub like crazy when a 400lbs guy is in my passenger seat. (but thats a lot of weight)

I got to test them out on a road course last weekend (mid-ohio race track, Scion Exposed 200. And when I was able to space my self from the field a bit, I got to give it a hard run into the turns.

Very impressed. My tires sucked ___ but as far as suspension felt, it was unbeleavable.

I paid around $800 for my set up, but had to fight a terriorst via phone to get them shipped out.

alright so, say i wanted to raise my car to the highest setting on the k sports. on the back you obviously just raise the springs on the perch. but on the fronts, exactly what needs to be done to raise it up?

You would raise the same part that is used to lower... I don't know the exact name so this might seem sarcastic, sorry in advance, not intended.

no worries. i have that part pretty much as high as it goes. so i take it these coilovers wont take you back to stock height if needed

I don't think so, as they are much shorter out of the box.

If you want to adjust the fronts, you must unbolt the lower section and turn it. Its kind of a pain when you want it as low as possible without rubbing. A lot of trial and error jacking the car up, taking off tire, unbolt, turn, and put back together, and then test. They are nice springs and shocks though.
They are definitely shorter than stock, even at the highest setting.
Post a pic up when you get it done, I would like to see what it looks like.

Yeah, that is the only thing that upsets me about these coil overs. They are amazing, but I am stuck where I am at. Can't go up much higher with out it being highly unstable at the knuckle.

So I have a question for those of you running the Ksport coils.

How many miles have you put on them so far, and how are they holding up?

I'm tempted to make the switch.

I have had mine for about 2 years and they are holding up great. I have no complaints.
