Default Lowering spring fitment question

I just had a customer call me to ask if he will have any problems with his wheels fitting after he buys lowering springs.

He said he is looking @ the Tein S-Techs (F1.7"/R1.5") and he has 18" wheels with 215/35/18 tires, he was not sure of the exact width & offset of his wheels (he just said "they're pretty wide"). He wants to know if he will have rubbing issues when he drops the car.

I'm interested too, because I am planning on getting the same springs on my xB, and I am also running 18"s. If the 1.5/1.7 drop will cause problems, how about the H-techs or the TRDs?

Anyone running 18"s with the s-techs? post up some pics if you got 'em so I can see them and jsut e-mail my customer a link to this page

Thanks a lot!

I don't have any experience with 18's, but I'm running 17x7's with a 40 offset and Tanabe DF210's with just over 2" drop and have zero rubbing problems. I know this isn't exactly what you were inquiring about, but maybe that'll give you somewhere to begin.

It's all about the offset. 18 x 7.5's "should" not rub depending on the offset. Get the offset and I'll check it out for ya. Plus you can always check thru this thread:

Peace!!

I also had 18inch wheels with a 2in drop. I had RSR springs with no rubbing problems what so ever. I had 35series tires though, anything thicker and you might rub.
