but i calculated the RPM's to be 2300 @ 60 in 5th.
that well out of the power band of the motor.
i would always have to drop down into 4th just to cruise and move.

from me if you want.
other wise any echo sedan 5 speed.

this is only for a manual transmission.
i warn you you will not be happy with this low of a gearing.
you will have to floor it to build any speed.

take your car out driving, get in 5th gear, let the RPM's drop to 2300.
now floor it and see how long it takes to build up speed.

if you really want the gears let me know..

Is the installation all finished now? Did the TRD final gear set fit right up with your KAAZ LSD? Or u need to replace some other cross gears also?

Looks like the KAAZ LSD u got uses 8bolts isn't it? How about the final gear?

TRD gear is still a few weeks out...(10 week lead time from japan)

i don't know why you think it won't bolt right up....all of these parts are made for this transmission.

the LSD bolts right up to the stock gears.
why would TRD make a replacement gear for this tranny that wouldn't bolt right in...

The LSD is in and works very well.
it does cause some different driving characteristics in the car. but this is expected when doing such a change in the drive train.

I would hate to ask, but no harm in asking.. PM how much you would want to sale the final drive for. If the price is right, I might just jump on that.

Thanks for your reply. The thing is my tranny's final gear and open diff uses 6bolts only. So I wonder how many bolts your stock final gear runs, 8 isn't it?

Also would u happen to know your tranny's code#? Since mine is C150N.......

Thanks

Now do you have any idea if the Scion tranny will be a bolt on for the Echo Hatch since we share the identical engine?

What u meant the mounting tabs are on the final gear or the tranny housing? Sorry just to confirm...

So u have a 1NZFE also? If so the C154 tranny housing would bolt right on to my long block?

What I am trying to do is to find out if the C154 tranny off from a xB would bolt right on to my 1NZ-FE long block and get the WHOLE tranny for the LSD....

the mounting tabs on the scion tranny housing are in different locations than the echo tranny housing...

yes the whole tranny should bolt right up to your long block (both have the 1NZ-FE motor)

the scion tranny will have different gear ratios for 4th and 5th gears.
also the final drive of the scion is higher 4.31 (echo is 3.52).

how do you feel about turning 4000rpms @80 mph???
bye bye mpg!

Well... considering I am getting 600km per fill of 40 litres (Don't use until empty for the tank of 45litres), which is about 35 mpg... so I am not too worried about that... I am more curious about if the car will be faster or something... haha

Thanks

Sunny

the gearing will provide better luanching and be quicker in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd...

you can find a used scion 5sp and just swap the guts over to the C150 housing.
