When it comes to installing this kit too, I think the most important tool you will want to get your hands on is the coil spring compact thingy. Without that, some serious damage could be done.

why is that? You mean a spring compressor? If so i got one, but the rear coils you can just pop out, and the fronts u don't even need to take off right? You replace the whole strut?

Yeah a spring compressor. You need it to take a part off your stock strut that you need to put on the new strut. With the rear, you just take the shocks off, then raise up the car and the springs will just come out.

what part is it? I've changed the springs on my echo 3 times

Took stocks off for Megan Racing, took Megan's off for Tanabe's, and put stocks back on.

Out of all those times, i only needed a compressor to put the stock springs back on the front struts.

Although, it is pretty dangerous taking the front stock springs off the strut w/o a compressor

Glad i bought compressors though, what part is it btw?

I am talking about a spring compressor for your front struts. sorry wasnt being clear.

elegancexb, I couldn't tell ya, the 2600lb bag is a lil bigger than a 2500lb, so I couldn't really tell ya, never put 2600's on it before.

As for the air struts, where did you get yours? Are they through Chasis Tech (those ones suck!) Its probably the strut that stops you from getting low enuf I guess?

what part of the stock strut do you have to take off to use on the ES struts? Is it that top plate or something else?

Yeah its the top plate or something like that, when you get the ES kit, it shows you exactly what you need to take off the stock strut.

With the NAPA shocks I got, they are just shorter, so the shock won't bottem out when its all the way down. When you get the FBI rear brackets, it comes with the part number you need, I don't remember the number.

I had thought about trying to fab something liek that to make the front lower on my cavalier since it used air struts but you would ruin the strut itself because it extends down past the spring perch,, well thats how the cavy was and its a similiar mac strut set up..

that diagram is wrong, the dump should be on a t-fitting AFTER the fill valve.
