well from what i have heard on here.. the df210 are pretty much great and everyone loves them and the way they ride.. so i am guessing that it is the shocks causing all the hop.

Part of the hopping is to blame on the short wheelbase of the car. The best way I can think to soften the ride is to get the Monroe Sensatracs (in the back, at least).
They ride softer than what you have now.

Hopping? is it bottoming out? or sitting on the bump stops? Even with very tight shocks it shouldnt hopp. On the other hand if it bounces ...then the shocks are bad.

The Tanabe's are great. The Tokico's are a little touchy, and If I'm not mistaken theyre valved agressively on the compression side, and you want them to be agressive on the rebound side to eliminate the bounce. Look into Koni Yellows, a little pricey (about the same as the Tokico's) but an awsome shock.
