Default question about installing s-techs

i was wondering if i install the s-techs and cut the bump stops, can i at some later point re-install the stock springs with the cut bump stops. im asking this because our xb is used as a spare car and other people drive it when they come to visit. if they start scraping and bottoming out with the s-techs on then im gonna have to re-install the stock springs. thanks

I don't see how cut bump stops would hurt the car on stock springs. Mainly cause it would have to be loaded down and hit a bump hard to ever get to the stops on the stock springs. JMHO

the bump stops will have no negative effect with the factory springs, unless you hit something hard enuff for the suspension to hit the bump stop, but by then the effect of the shortened bump stop will be the least of ur worries.

thanks for the responses. i wasnt sure how the whole bump stop thing played into things but its good to know that it shouldnt be a problem if i have to end up putting the stockers back on. hopefully that wont happen though.

If that is an issue, why cut them in the first place? I don't see the need.

PS If they are bumping and scraping they don't need to be driving the xB at all. Make them rent a car. IMO
