Question regarding lowering springs

Question regarding lowering springs
I have all stock suspension, and when i say all stock, i mean ALL STOCK. I wanna get the Tanabe DF210's for front and rear. Question though: can these handle towing without excessive dragging? If not, would it be acceptable to reinstall stock springs in the rear to compensate for the added weight while keeping the Tanabe's in the front?

what the hell do you want to tow with an xB? And I ask because Ive had a small trailer before, and its just horrid...

regardless of suspension set-up, scion are not rated, nor is it recommended to tow anything with them. i believe their gross vehicle weight is only 800 pounds above curb weight. so add one driver, say 200 pounds, that leaves 600 pounds for the trailer and the pay load, and any additional passengers and cargo on board.

whoa, please answer the question. i have already done all research for towing in a box, so i do not need your inputs about the towing capabilities of an xb. there are many on these forums who do it, and have no problems. so, please, answer my original question nay sayers.

the back of the car will sag ridiculously no matter what unless you are on air...
there, are you happy kid?
its the laws of physics... you apply force at one point and that point will go in the direction of the force... I was simply telling you, from experience, that using an xb to tow a trailer is like calling a ***** 'just broken in'. its the understatement of a lifetime, that will prob lead to herpes...
and heres a hint, no matter what you use, and no matter what your towing, the back of the car, *gasp* is going to sag...
two different truck and trailer outfits that I have used in the past year... and guess what, if you look close, the 300lbs of wood sags just as much as 3000lbs of car and trailer

im not sure why, but your sarcasm is not very appealing. mostly due to the fact that I knew everything you just posted. maybe re-read my OP? or here, i will re-word the question into layman's terms:
What is better for towing one jet ski: Stock Springs or Tanabe DF210's?

HELLO MCFLY are you not paying attention to the fact that the xB, where as yes, people do make hitches for them, and yes, people do tow stuff with them, are not the SAFEST nor the SANEST tow vehicles, esp when your talking about trying to pull a wet jetski up the launch ramp... using solely the power of two ferrets running in a wheel in opposite directions..

still trying to convince me not to tow? yes, i am fully aware of how the xb is not a car to tow stuff. if you wanna answer the original question, you are more than welcome to, otherwise just leave.

alright, based on your indirect, and round about answer, i have determined that stock springs will suffice.

wow, i love how unsupportive people can be. Scion xB's are fully capable of towing; I have no idea why everyone is downplaying this so much... I just needed a simple question answered, but instead, I am flamed for something completely irrelevant and not of concern to the OP.

The biggest problem with an xB towing any substantial weight is not the two-ferret power plant or the amount of weight the trailer transfers to the vehicle suspension (a properly balanced, properly loaded trailer doesn't add all that much weight), but the start and stop loads on the unibody have a tendency to overstress the welds in the unibody (even just a lot of rough roads can open up unibody seams and weaken the chassis with the trailer delivering amplified twists and kicks).
Other than the manufacturer recommending not towing with the xB, that about covers it.
