Rear Disc brakes on xB?

Rear Disc brakes on xB?
I know everybody has talked about the possibility of using the some Toyoto Echo rear brake conversion kit on the xB, but does this actually exist? Has anybody installed or converted to rear disc brakes, and if so, is there a kit? I'm looking into doing this if it is at all possible.

...But Why?...
I am not sure about a kit for rear disk brakes, but I do want to ask why you need them.
The XB's stock breakes GRAB like ARNOLD SWARTSINAGER on a routy movie set.
Keep them adjusted and you should be O.K. Do you just like disk type breaks?
And will ABS work if you adfix a conversion kit?

interesting with the ABS question. i doubt anyone needs them, they just want them for looks. in all honesty, unless you're a HARDCORE AutoXer you wont need that much. I know someone on here did and theyll post. i think there was another post on this too. its been done though i believe but it stopped crazy fast.
search around and you'll find it i bet.

Hey Mike, you are a bit late on this. I posted this same
question 4 months ago and got the same answers. Look up
my thread, there are two sources for rear disc brake conversions,
one really expensive, but here in the US, one form China or
something, and still pretty expensive at $650 plus shipping.
Many people said they were going to jump on those kits, but
I guess they were all talk, because nobody did.
There is also a thread about a guy who took some other toyota
brakes, made his own bracket and mounted the brakes himself,
but he said he'd never do it again it was such a pain.
You want to be the first to try?

Yes there are kits for the Echo & yes it has been done. I dont think the cost is worth it in my mind. Just seems like a waste. Yeah the guy who built his own kit, I think used parts from a older rolla. The kit from the echo should work. Over all cost is a little high, but does not seem to far from average rear drum to disc kits. I was talking to a guy a long while ago who was trying to get www.fastbrakes.com to build a kit, but I have no clue what ever happend to the idea or what came of it. Over all I would love fast bakes to make a 10.5" drag kit front brake kit & use the same set up on the rear. Have the 2 piston caliper on the rear & the 4 piston on the front. The kit would save rotating weight + be able to run 15" wheels still
