i think its fine i'm still on stock shocks and struts i want it stiffer with trd ones. the springs did make a big difference in handling too. i drive my car much harder than most i noticed it. its still not quite where i'd like it but getting there. in time when i have money and more parts on the car its being built and i'm getting to feel each advancement.

I have to say I love my TEIN S-Techs. The drop isnt crazy and they handle great. IMO a spring cant be stiff enough for me. I dont care one bit about ride quality but the S-Techs do provide a nice middle ground between performance and daily driver...

I wish I could say that, but with a 160 mile-a-day commute on L.A. freeways, that just doesn't work for me. I tried it with a Civic coupe, and I about lost my kidneys and had all my teeth rattled out!

The weather cooperated enough for me to snap a couple of quick shots this morning. I had to swap my stockers back on due to inclement weather heading this way anyway so I got a shot of my xA with TRD's with the stock optional 15" wheels and my 16" ASA AR1's. Sorry for the poor quality of pictures.

Hope this helps some.

So is the s.tech a 1.5" drop or closer to 2? The specs state 1.5 ish (I think it's actually 1.7f/1.5r) but do they settle closer to 2? I'm looking to lower soon, but I don't want to sacrifice driveablility for looks. There are some crappy roads around here and I don't want to have to adjust my driving style to account for a lower body. Would h.tech or trd be better suited for my application? I'm on stock 15 right now, and I wouldn't go bigger than 17 in the future. Thanks.

Wow - I'd forgotten all about this post.
Well, I ended up going with InTrax progressive springs and yellow Konis. After the springs settled in, I've got about a 2 1/4" drop, and an amazing ride with the Konis set on the softest setting. Its really not much different from stock - until you hit a corner. The initial wind of the springs is fairly soft, then as they get compressed, the stiffer coils kick in and really tighten it up. Combined with the Progressive rear sway, the car handles like a go-kart, yet my daily commute is fairly comfortable still.
I've changed the suspension on just about every car I've had in the last 25+ years, and I'm amazed at the comfort AND performance of this setup. I can't recommend this combo enough.

I just installed TRDs today, and I love them. I'm in San Francisco. I don't want the car to bottom out on one of the hills. I can definitely feel the difference. I'm still using the original 15" wheel/tire combination. The car feels tighter. I used to get bump steer over curbs. I'm going to upgrade the wheels to 18" next. Any recommendations?
