Shaving the stock springs?

Shaving the stock springs?
Have any of you guys shaved your stock springs for an xb? If so let me know how it went and how you went along with doing it. My friend was curious and wanted me to ask on here. So any help would be great thanks guys!

Yeah i have heard that to but I also hear that if its under 2 inches that the bouncing is not that bad but if you get more than 2 than its horrible.

It's also dangerous to cut coils. A stock rear spring can just fall out if you cut it too much.
Not to mention, you'd have to take the spring off the strut to cut it.
You can get springs for $200... just do that.

serious - DO NOT CUT COILS!!! do it right the first time, but the right part, don't play mickey mouse games with the lives of your passengers and yourself... i wouldn't even cut coils on a show only car that was trailered and never driven...

There are so many options for lowering the box. Also, as far as "shooting springs," it will not happen on the xB. Ive lowered several xBs and never needed a spring compressor. There is not much resistance on the front damper. Simply having a friend stand on the coil during disassmbly will suffice. And the rear are just too easy to swap out.

IM NOT GOING TO CUT THE SPRINGS LOL
How did you not use the compressor to take out the coils you had someone stand on them? and the rear ones just pop right out with the car jacked up?

Haha alright everyone good news I got the goldline lowering springs today and the compressors ill be putting them on and ill update with before and after pics.

lol.. the rears you can just pull out by hand (may have to drop the arm a little), once jacked up.. the front struts have some pressure, but not a lethal amount..
if you have the compressor, it wont hurt to use it on the fronts (once out)
