strusts/shocks
So is it necessary to replace your struts and shocks when you install lowering springs.
I have heard conflicting info. Some people say yes or else they will blow out in a year or two. Others don't even mention it.

It is not absolutely necessary. For the most part any readily available replacement shocks or struts will wear out just as quickly as your stock units. Your best bet is to keep your stock pieces on for now and replace them as they wear out. It is likely that they will last just about as long as they would on stock springs.

It also depends on how you like the ride. There are multiple threads on here about how harsh the rear shocks are. Some people seem to just be switching out the rear shocks and keeping the stocks struts up front.

You don't need to buy new struts and shocks but I thought I would let you know, there is a $50 rebate on Monroe Sensatrac Struts and shocks till April 30th.
(I do not work or have any affiliation with them. Just thought I would let you know.)
