A friend of mine paid $400 for it. He ordered it from Super Autobacs in Stanton, Ca. I'm willing to sell it if the price is right.

I don't think you really understand. Cusco is a JDM company to start. So for most people that is one selling point. Second, the standard Cusco bars sell for about $150 and up. The one Scibox has is a limited edition carbon fiber unit. Yes the carbon fiber may be lighter and even stiffer than aluminum, but the price has more to do with exclusivity than anything.

If all you are looking for us a strut tower bar to look pretty, (they don't do a whole lot for the xB anyway) grab a Megan Racing (or similar) strut tower bar off ebay.

well the thing is wether it is a peice of metal or a jdm brand name it pretty much all does the same thing, keeps the vehicle from flexing when turning. now it being lighter than the metal/aluminum one is a difference i would be worried about if i had a race car where i would be worried about the weight of things like that. It is no difference when buying parts for the scion thru the dealership and getting them afterwards....rims thru the dealership...may run anywhere from 1500 on up depending on the size...when you can go out and get some for at least half that price....so let me know the difference between cusco and the trd or hotchkis one.

Functionally there is no difference. Is that what you are looking for? Weight wise, you won't notice a difference either. In fact, after doing some research the Cusco bar is carbon fiber wrapped aluminum. So the weight will be almost identical. What you get with the Cusco bar is rarity and a particular look.

If this isn't what you are looking for, go spend $50 on a Megan strut tower brace.

50 Bucks For A CUSCO bar? Are You Really Trying To Insult Me? You Ask About One And Now You're Complaining That They're Too Expensive And That They Serve No Purpose? If You Want To Play With The Big Dogs, Then You Have To Pay To Play. Other Than That, Have Fun With Your 50 Dollar Piece Of Ebay Crap.

I didnt say i was even offering you any money for your bar. For one i could pay for a "50 Dollar Piece Of Ebay Crap" and have it do exactly the same thing that your Cusco bar that is carbon fiber wrapped aluminum and on top of that save myself 350 bucks to do what ever else i would want to do. No i am not insulting but if that is the way you took it than hey....my bad. As for the function of what ever strut bar anyone buys it doesnt matter what bar you get because they are going to do the same thing. So if you want to pay to play with the big dogs go right ahead....cause you are going to over pay for something that is nice and pretty and let everyone know that you over payed for a strut bar. I simply wanted to know if someone had one and if so can i see a pic...also where you got it and how much you payed.....seems pretty simple enough to me. I couldnt find any pics on them and wanted to see what was so special about them if anything. So you know sorry i was trying to do some research....but hey you are a " big dog " right?

That's the old TRD strut tower brace that's been discontinued. Nice piece that's hard to find. $75 is less than half the orginal price.....good deal.
