Stock shocks. I talked directly at lenght with one of the Air-lift people. I asked that same question. He told me that with the tires I have(215/40/18 I would not get any more drop with shorter shocks. He said that with standard diameter tires somewhere just over a 1/2 inch gain MAYBE. He suggested that the factory shocks are just fine (you do modify the snubber inside the shock as part of the installation btw). Good luck have fun!!

Good looking box.....Love the stance with the bags...The color is awesome.. I have to agree with the poster that said to put chrome bulbs for your turn signal markers, that would look great.....I would also clear your corners of your headlights as well, it would make it look way different. Personally I think they look cleaner with the heads cleared

The amber turn signal lamps in the headlamp are fine. What I want to chang is the cornering indicators in the fenders. they could stand to be less white. So far I have found no good solution to those tho besides trying to make some National Amber with my candies and painting them.

To each their own....... I just was never a big fan on how the amber reflector looked in the headlights.... Just my own opinon. but I can agree how it matches your car. Keep up the great work...

oh yea wanted to ask is that the F1 body kit and if so is a urethane kit or fiber glass.? I was looking at that one a while back.

The kit if the F1 kit (or a copy of same...ebay seller hard to tell for sure) It is fiberglass and took a good bit of work to get it mounted and looking right

Mist over them to blend them in but they will still light up when needed.
I'm surprised you didn't fill the holes and add the RS2.0 mirrors with the lights.

I have thought about kandying them. But they need to be kandied in National Amber to look right kinda. Body color would function but the look I think will be marginal. (this situation requires more study still). I will have to play around with gold and tangerine kandies on some clear stock and formulate a good amberish contrasting color for them, at least that is the plan. I considered shaving them. But I like side mounting turn indicators and hadn't seen anything I liked in lighted mirrors etc. A bit late for RS 2.0 mirrors now (as far as shaving the fender unit goes anyway).

Or sink them down into the fender flat but so it will still light up but be flush. But it's too late to do that now.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you Ted. I must have completely missed your reply to my post. I know of two other companies that use a mechanical type system instead of pressure based. Unfortunately, I can never remember the name of the one company. That company actually had the first mechanically based system on the market as far as I know. Several yeats before ART, and even Dakota Digital. But it was very expensive. Well over $1000 if I remember correctly. And that was just for the control unit and four sensors. If I can find their website, or company name, I will post back up.

The other company, and my preference, is Dakota Digital. Dakota Digital is actually the company that originally manufactured all of Air Ride Technologies digital controllers. ART no longer sells the Dakota Digital stuff, but Dakota may very well still be manufacturing the system for ART. You can take a look at their digital controller options here...

ART's system is over $1k also.

Thanks for the Dakota link if you run up on the other I would like to see that as well I see that Dakotas control system is basically identicle to ART's, they are best I can tell utilizing the identical ride height sensors, it also seems to be about $300 less. The control panel looks bigger than the ART one (hard to tell without dimensions). The ART control panel I mounted in the little removable panel below the ebrake handle where the ipod plug was. Works pretty good, I can pull the panel out and operate the system from standing outside the car without having a remote if I like. What I really like is that if I should decide to return it to springs (or ,,LOL stock) I can simply buy the one little plastic panel and be back stock there (the rest of the system bolts in with only a few holes drilled here and there as well). I would say that if I had seen this link before i bought the ART system they certainly would have been a contender. I was not aware they made anything more than dash and instrument stuff.

Yeah Ted, I don't doubt that Dakota Digital is still manufacturing the ART digital ride control products. They probably just have an agreement now to design exclusive products sold through the ART brand.

THE ART SYSTEM IS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS BECAUSE IT USES BOTH PRESSURE SENSORS AND MECHANICAL SENSORS WITH BOTH SENSORS KEEPING THE OTHER ON CHECK MORE PRECISE THAN JUST A MECHANICAL OR PRESSURE ALONE
I THINK AIRBAGIT.COM HAS A $500 TOUCH SREEN PRESSURE BASESD SYSTEM

Yeah, but airbagit.com is AIM, or should i say shAIM or LAIM. Never buy pars from them. The worst possible place to buy from. Crap quality, and ____ty customer service.

Agreed on the AIM comments. Absolutely the worlds worst company when you are talking about aftermarket parts. Especially air suspension. Though "the worlds lowest xB" is currently using a set of their stuts up front.

And for "airedout" and Ted, the other air suspension control system I was trying to think of is from AccuAir. I don't know why I kept forgetting the name. They were actually the first to market height sensors instead of pressure sensors. Several years before Dakota Digital and Air Ride Technologies. (Again, I believe DD actually manufacturers the ART systems.) And you can tell by the retail price that AccuAir is extremely proud of their components. Is AIM really that bad? I've been checking out their Billet Star steering wheel, and I'm pretty sure I need it for my minitruck project... but nobody seems to have anything good to say about them. I wasn't sure if the negetivity is just toward their bag parts, or everything?
