I have a set of front struts from the first batch of struts that where made. They are silver, and I have not had a bit of trouble out of them.Until recently that is.I drove my car 860 miles to Ohio on full air. While I was there, thats when I started having problems.I talked to both Brian and Corey. The thing I didnt understand was,I knew they where having these problems long ago. They kept telling me to try this and try that.I was having intermitting lockup problems.Keep in mind, these are supposidly one of the first sets.I bought my car new about 1yr 3 months ago.It only had, before I went to Ohio,8k on the odo.I had to have my OEM struts overnighted to me from Fl which I feel someone else should foot the bill, because they wouldnt send me any new struts without the old ones.Which I can kind of understand, however, what if I sent them the struts and I didnt get anything in return.Keep in mind,I have been in the military for 11 yrs,I was home on leave before I go abroad again, for the 5th time. Before the military I was ASE Certified in brakes, suspension, minor tuneup, and hvac.I didnt continue my career as a cert mech because I enjoy doing it to much on my own.
I say this just to let you all know that I am not some shmo full hot air. Those on this board who know me can attest to that, and I have met people all over the country.
Now then,it is hard for me to defend Airlift when I am sitting on stock struts in front.Ones that costed me 92 dollars to overnight from Fl to Ohio. Thanks God they got there in time.I am now back in Fl on stock stuts in the front, and FBI kit in the rear.I was one of the first with the FBI kit,and have not had a single problem with it.
In the end,now that I am back home in Fl,getting ready to deploy again,I will be calling Mon and sending these struts back to you.Refund or replace is what I am expecting.
I will be hoping for a refund.I do not have time to mess with put struts on,take struts off.Especially when it risks me to be AWOL when I am over 800 miles from the base.
I didnt have a lick of problems from them until then.I also do not put as many miles on my car as others. When I did have a prob, they wouldnt help me out, other than, try this, try that,we cant replace them without the old ones back.We could charge your credit card and then refund when we get yours back.Like I said,I am in the military,I was on leave/vacation,My cc was full, and I was stuck 860 miles from home.
Sorry for the novel.I will be calling them Mon to get the add. to send them back to.

I have the Easy Street front strut bags and i have not had a problem with them. i've only had them on for about 2 weeks, but so far so good! However, they do make a 'clunkin' noise constantly and after driving for a few days, i decided to take the front wheels off and inspect the bolts, and anything else that moves......i could not find an answer to the noise. i checked all the nuts and bolts and they were all tight. So guess what..... its the struts!

The rears have been nothing but problems! The first set lasted me all of 2 days and about 15 miles. I got them installed on a Tuiesday, drove the car to the alignment shop wed. morning, and picked it up wed. night, drove around for a bit and went back home and started packing it for Texas Heat Wave! Thursday morning i got up around 7am, and cleaned the XB up, finished packing, and at 9am when i was getting reay to leave to meet up with the convoy to Heat Wave, the Pass. rear bag just blows air out the top of it! 1 Hour before i'm leaving on an 8 hour road trip and the things pops on me! Luckly it didn't happen while driving! So i jack the car up, pull the bags and brackets and throw my rear lowering springs back in for the trip......I'm not missing heat wave because of some junk ___ bags!
So i arrive at heat wave and theres a hot lava with the same kit and he has had 2 of the rears blow out on him too. I'm not one to take other peoples words about products, but when you come accross a thread like this, it makes you wonder!!!!!

So i get home from Heat Wave, and call Easy Street! They want to charge my credit card for the bags, and then credit it back which takes up to 2 weeks! THIS WOULD HAVE REALLY HELPED ME ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD GUYS.....!
The new bags arrive (which are the new& improved ones) and i install them the same night. the new bags look exactly like the old ones but are about 3/4" longer. Bryan from ES told me that they were totaly redesigned, and that they unfold from the bottom like they should. So after i get them installed (and my car is still on jack stands) i double check for leaks and take the car off the stands with 60 psi in the rear bags. I drop the back with the switches and i'm all giddy and ____ since i have rear baggs again! When i attempt to lift the rear up, it doesn't budge! I hear the bags inflating, and the gauges read 80psi, but the a s s end is still sitting on the ground! So i crawl under the rear bumber with a flashlight and the bag is all bound up! Theres 80 psi in it alright, and instead of the bag inflating upward, it inflated outward.... as in... out the side. This was the case with BOTH bags! I let the air out, jacked it back up, and made sure everything was aligned correctly, and it was. I double checked the brackets as well, and it all checked out. while the car was jacked up, i air the bags up, and the operated as they should. i lowered it back down, released the air, and air them back up, and same thing! so i jacked the rear of the car up about 2 inshes and air them up again.... same thing! So now my car has the new and improved bags on it, and i can even move it out of my garage! and all ES can say is...take some pics and maybe i can tell you how to fix it! NEWS FLASH EASY STREET........I don't want a fix, i want a refund! your ____ has wasted more of my time than i can deal with! Its a little to late to take pics, as i have got it all tore down waiting on my 3RD set of bags!

I will never reccommend airlift products to anyone. the service was great until the bind up issue. then all i got was... take pics, and maybe i can tell you how to fix it! you can fix it by not making crap! there are so many people that have had problems with ES products, and then the NEW & IMPROVED come out and guess what.....my car was stuck 2 inches off the ground! Some product!

Not to mention i've also had problems with thier chrome valves, but of course they say..."i've never heard of any problems with those valves"! I bet i'm not the only one with that problem!

In the end, my ____ is on jack stands once again and i'm waiting on my slam speacialties and brackets from FBIMINI.COM!

No more ES for me folks!

The reason your having all these problems is the kits. Ive had the universal air strut kit on both my Xbs' for over a year with no weired sounds normal tire were, and not a leak at all. It even rides like stock, and I'm Tuk'N DUBS. Give me a break, if there this many problems with that kit take it off and put on the right kit. I hve bagged about 9 XB with the universal air kit without any headaches, not a single customer complaint.....

I only have the front struts on my car from easy street. I got both of mine through FBI mini. One strut wouldn't inflate because of too much air or something, but under 150psi. However, it did last me a weekend slowing down the pressure. I drove 500+ miles over the weekend and they worked great. I am getting the one defect replaced though. A shop that had helped me install it is helping me get my replacement and is taking no BS from them. As for the back, I knew not to get the easy street rear cuz I do not like sleeve bags, but had to get the front cuz its the only one I would trust, even though I hear all these horror stories. I went ahead and did the FBI mini brackets and 2500lb bags. I am using E Air Valves and they work like a charm for me. any questions? leme know.

$600 dollar struts that last one weekend, don't sound like no problems to me? Maybe I am just picky.

you misunderstood. i had NO problems driving down there. When I got the part, before even putting it on, it was defective and we made it work. And after making it work, it still gave me NO problems. I am getting a replacement part anyways, to be on the safe side. Luckily I didn't have to pay $600 for it.

Also, I don't mean they lasted just the weekend and then pooped out on me, it could last me for a long time, but I'm getting it replaced anyways.

jesus people on these boards have such ___ hole attitudes.

I cant talk about Airlift's rear setup as I have no experience with it.
I fully trust my rear setup from Phil at FBI minis though.Having thousands of miles on them.
I got off the phone a little bit ago with Jim at Airlift. They are gonna pay for me to send these fronts back to them.As well as send me new ones.I wont go into the details as to what he stated the problem was.He did say that the problem has been fixed and they no longer powder coat the struts. He assured me that the problem has been fixed and no other problems should arise.
I can understand that when new products come out, there are gonna be trial and errors, design flaws, and other unforseen problems that may arise. If we the consumers werent so pushy for them to get the new products out there!I was mad at the time because I was stuck in Ohio and had to overnight my stock strut to myself.Speaking of which, jim has stated that he will pay half of my overnight charge for me.Now to find that UPS invoice!
I plan to put the new Airlift struts back on my car.Not sure if I will have time to mess with it or not seeing how I will be deploying soon.Always wanting to be the first with something,I know all to well how we are used as the R&D side of a new product.
I guess we will see how the new struts do when they get here.

We pulled one of my air struts airpart and the strut thingy in the middle that moves up and down is like chrome or polished. I am not sure what part they mean by being powder coated? which part is it that you guys refer to being the powder coated part?
