Default Time to drop it

I just got my wheels installed (18x8 +40 offset on 215/35/18 tires) and the car still needs to be lowered to have "the look" in my opinion, I just don't know how low to go. So what would y'all suggest as far as lowering it? H-Techs, S-Techs, another spring? Im trying to avoid using coilovers, as I don't want to have too much $$$ wrapped up in this.

I have H Techs, it's just enough for my taste and also it's perfect due to all of the potholes and tore up streets we have here in Chicago!
Btw, the H Techs are a 1" drop...

Do you have any pics of how your car sits?

Honestly, dude, DF210s and be done with it.

I'm in Chicago too and I don't have any issues with bottoming out or anything like that.

From someone who has been through 3 sets of springs, believe me when I say that the DFs are the best one's I've rolled on.

I had H.Techs, and they were fine but they just don't clean up enough of the fender gap.
Here's H.Techs on 18s

It just isn't enough. I had Goldlines next, which is a nice drop, but the springs were a bit too stiff for my liking.

The DF210s drop a hair lower than the Goldlines, but the ride is so much better.

If you do a modest drop, you'll want to go lower at some point.

Here's the DF210 drop (not settled yet, they got down another .25") on 15s. I can still fit a coke can under my front bumper when the car is empty.

Not to sound like a broken record but most definitely DF210's...

My friend, Ilovemybox, has had them for around a year or so, they handle great and after they settle they fill in really good. He runs 215/45/18.

By the way, I LOVE your wheels.

Thanks, and thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up going with Tein S-Techs, because this has become the car me and my buddies go out in now since its way better on gas than an SUV, and I go through some steep driveways and such so I figured they gave the car the look I was wanting without being TOO low and making me worry about scraping and rubbing.

Heres the finished produc before and after:

it was on xbclub.com.. it made sence because the height is all about the springs so a shorter strut wouldnt really make a difference its all in the springs

nice choice on the s-tech's it cleans up the gap really well
i got my s-tech's too because i wanted the drop to be noticeable without having to worry that much about ramps and bumps

but like everyone is saying, now i want to go lower =[
