Default tokico hp struts for the xB?

i noticed the hp's were added to the parts section, but no one has reviewed them yet. someone on ebay is selling them for the xB. are those for real? i was under the impression that tokico didnt make the hps for the xB? their website only has part# for the adjustable and one other one (i forget which). did they just come out with these hps or what, because im gonna want a set very soon.

I am actually wondering the same thing. I am about to get some Monroes to go with my Eibach Pro's. If anyone knows for sure please shed some light on this.

Well I don't want to have to really drop a ton of money on adjustable's and don't really know what else to get. Unless these Tociko HP's are real.

The TRD shock / strut set are Tokico's as well. Could be what they are calling the "HP" model.

In researching.. Tokico makes non-adjustable(maybe theTRD's ??), and 16-way adjustable(HTS) , and a 18-way adjust (Alumina) !!!!

I just got done talking with that Ebay seller on the phone, and that auction is for the NONE-Adjustable Tokiko strut set of 4.

The are willing to sell me the HTS model- set of 4, for $580 shipped . A set of 4 way adjustable Koni's would be $514 shipped. Front Konis are $325. I'll go Tokiko HTS

Yes, what James from MotorSportsDirect quoted me was for the xA. I presume its the same strut/application for the xB as well.

Any input....

Would anyone out there say go Tokico 16-way adjustable for $580 shipped, or go with the non-adjustable HP's for $275 shipped ?

Not so sure if the HP's would be more then sufficiant suspension/handling wise.... or spend double the money on the 16-way adjustable ??

Thanks

it really depends on you... if you are hard to please, i would cave and go for the adjustable. you dont wanna go for the hps and be disappointed, and end up going adjustable anyway.

i think if youre gonns spend almost 600 on struts alone, id look into getting the progress coilovers for about 700-800. problem with those is, the rears are the adjustable springs only, so youd have to get stiffer struts on top of the progress setup in the back to handle the coilovers.

the way i see it, tokico hps are very reputable struts with a lifetime warranty (up to a certain drop). for the price its going for on ebay, that is dirt cheap for hps. other cars (my camry, for example) may cost DOUBLE that. the hps are a happy medium to say the least.

Thanks for your input. I'll also run it by the suspension guys at the tire store.. and see what they say. Its a solid $300 difference between the different models . I've heard the HP's are a good medium grade strut .... but that the D-Spec(16-way adjustable) are the bomb !!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm must ponder another 24 hours... then order
