Do the struts and shocks come with new upper mounts or reuse the originals?

Hmmm....I was thinking about getting the TRD. This makes me a little hesitant. Anybody else feel the TRD is more harsh?

Harsh, or firm?

TRD used to make their suspensions more geared to racing, instead of comfort for everyday driving.

Back in 1983 when I switched to full TRD suspension in my Celicas, it was really, really firm, to the point that if I drove over a dime, I would get jarred.

Tell you what, I'll do them for $280 a set plus 7% tax and actual shipping through UPS. From what I can see they weigh 33 lbs and my zip is 50010 if you want to estimate shipping.

Anybody wants them, PM me.

If you are worried about harshness, then you should look at Koni. I only changed out the rear shocks and it made a big improvement to the ride qualiity. You can also adjust them to the stiffness you desire.

Also, Which Koni is it, the Special or the Sport? And did you look into Koni struts (if they have them).

I got them at LTB motorsports. The rears shocks were $98/ea shipped.

These shocks are for the Echo, XA and XB. I got an e-mail from Koni a couple months ago confirming that these shocks have been tested and confirmed for the XA and XB. They are also on their Koni-na website.

The shocks are the Sports (yellows). I must say, in the normal (full soft) position, they really smooth out the ride. Much more comfortable. Since I have Tein lowering springs, I set them one notch stiffer. Even at that, they are much more comfortable than the stock rear shocks.

I think the rear shocks are the primary reason the XB ride is so harsh. You can find more here.......https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=65648
