I guess you do have a point w/ the adjustability of your setup. Although, I would just jump to a 22-24mm bar before having 2 bars.

do you have a picture of the back spring when its under a load?
when my xb is on the ground the coil is completely compressed and i wanted to know if thats normal.
im running a stock shock right now and im wondering if that might have something to do with it

Look again!
(That was supposed to be a joke - I'm running the stocker plus a Progressive rear bar... )

After seeing this post, I'm thinking about adding a Hotchkis to the mix, too. Even with the two bars I've got, it doesn't feel flat enough out back. It looks like it would fit without getting in the way of the Progressive.

umm... i think you need to re-adjust your spring perch there... if you look at how far down his spring is sitting and compare it to how smushed yours are... theres a pretty noticeable difference

Yeah I wish it was that easy! If I adjust it down the car wont roll.
This is how it sits with them adjusted all the way up.

The adjustable spring perch is what gives you ride height adjustment.

I bought the set used and I am unsure of the age of the them so I am not upset with JIC yet.
I contacted them about an hour ago and hopefully I will be able to get a replacement spring that will work.

Using two rear bars is a great idea on our cars. I know a guy who used to race a VW Rabbit in some pretty serious SSCA stuff, and he ran it with NO front bar and two stock rear bars he custom mounted. He kicked ___ in the class he was in, even ran it in the One Lap of America several times.

Yeah, I had to get longer bolts.

Got them at Orchard Supply Hardware. Most any hardware store should have them.

i see your adjustability side of it, but i too would have just gone with a single bar... progresive being 22mm and whiteline *apparently* being 24mm when the one i found is a 22mm.

having the two bars though does give some originality to it.

I wanted to comment on Freqbox's picture. I think the main reason your rear spring is compressed more would be because your picture has your stock shock there. Kodokan_4's picture has the JIC shock there. Which I would assume the JIC shock is stiffer than stock. Thus it will support the rear better than the OEM shock. which will cause Kodokan_4'S rear spring to not compress as much
I was researching rear springs and came accross this thread. I have the D2 Coilovers and the rear spring is too soft for me. I have the rear shock adjusted long and have a little preload on the shock. But i need some higher spring rated rears.

Does any body know how to obtain a stronger rear spring.
Here is a picture of mine.

It is adjusted all the way up on the perch.

If im not mistaken the spring is what dictates the height of the car not the shock.
If anything the stock shock is taller and ofcourse not as stiff as an aftermarket shock
