I had two different setups... one was the echo monroe rear shocks... the second was just a chain that I welded onto the rear I beam and made a little eye hook that bolted into the top shock mount... didnt really help in the the dampening of the car, just kept the suspension from extending too far and let me go lower than any shock...

I have yet to bottom out my shocks other things stop the car before it has happened, like the tires sit in the fender wells, or the rear arm is sitting on the body of the car.

your rear arm hits the body before your stock shocks bottom out?????
when my shocks bottomed out i still had 3+ inches before the arm hit the body.

yeah the best I can tell they don't bottom out.
I can see on the arm where it has rubbed a clean spot on it.

What brackets do you have on yours goth? I modded my FBI brackets and bottomed out the shock before the bag even hit 20psi

I am running modded Easy Street sleeve bags and brackets, removed the top spring mount and the top bracket sits flush to the frame of the car.

I think I have a pic, let me try and find it.

I ran the reg bellow bag... maybe that is the variable, since your upper spring mount seems to maybe be a little closer to the body

thats what I am saying, I removed the OEM, top spring perch, and modded the bracket so that it sits flush on the car now.

I was using KONI adjustable dampening struts all around and those things worked the best because even when I was almost all the way down I would adjust the dampening and was not bouncy at all. BUT they are pricey and last longer though.
