xB Lift kit / bigger tires? most people hate the idea~
In the winter 07 volume 9 scion mag (no, I'm not a freak that has all the mags & all memorized, I just looked through this one yesterday), there was a sweet xB, haven't found it on Google ever, just says "invisible man da rally xB" its a fully-modified off-road xB that looks crazy mean, but it looks like they have a lift kit (a mild one) and/or just larger wheels. Whats the max outer diameter the xB will comfortable house, and are there any lift kits out there?
If you want to just state this is a stupid idea, try and pass. Or make it an interesting comment.
Gracias!

thye did a lot of work to all the xB's for sema last year. You can get an awd conversion, but you need it shipped from japan. Im not sure, but i doubt it lifts the xB when done. Try to source one

I emailed the fabricators of that one pictured at sema interested in doing it to mine, but recieved ,of course,no response, I don't think I have ever got a response from custom companies, wonder why they post there email addresses at all on there sites .

from what i can tell from the pictures it looks like two options either the have some really adjustable coilovers with a different /custom strut or possibly some hydros and the reason why i say hydros is because there is a xb aaround me on hydros the when fully lifted the lip kit is about 18inchs off the ground

It'd be more sensable to get the right vehicle for the job. If it's just for the "look" and you don't plan on actually trying to drive it daily I say go for it. Otherwise I'd pass.

all it is is longer springs out back with longer shocks , and then longer struts with what appears to be coilovers on the front.
they probably had to do some fanagling for the front sway to work even remotely correctly.

looks like they put some coilovers at max hight with big wheels like 18's with 40 or 45 series tires and called it good.
freind of mine was joking around one day about lifting my xB and then i saw the black Sema xB and started thinking. you'd need new coilovers, maybe some fabricated spacers between the strut towers and the coilover/strut *maybe like a 1.5" or 2" spacer* and a camber kit to re-adjust the wheels.
if you're one to make your box go fast though, i highly recommend not going over stock hight. seems a bit dangerous in my eyes being i don't think there would be enough downforce anymore to keep you from turning into a papper plane for a few seconds before landing in a crash and burn situation.
the white xB posted earlier is the frame of an xB that was bolted directly to that of a frame to a Jeep and it's motor. i like the black xB, looks neat, the white xB/jeep hybrid though looks retarted.

then you are wrong sir. That is a body lifted xB, not on a jeep frame. that is the stock xB motor, which is why it is close to the ground and no where near under the hood. I have seen this box up close and personal in Miami.
