i went for comfort
i wanted a performace tire without the typical performace ride
a 50 series is enough meat to be very comfy (lowered w/Tein)
and fill out the fender-well decently

Itgb....ride quality is your answer from me
and speedometers are not that accurate
i work at a delareship (not toyota)
and the error tolerance is 5-7mph @ 60mph
this is federally OK, but if that 1% bothers you that much.....

i know it a 16" i thread i was using my tire size as an example and i did explain why they us smaller tyres than what is stock... because the car is equiped with auto calibration... the smaller the aspect ratio the rougher you ride will be depending on your speed rating... but what ever

I read that you can run a 195/50/16 on a 7" wide wheel. So why would you want to introduce an extra 1% of error into your mph & mileage by running a 205/50/16?
According to SL member George, our Speedo and Odo read fast (we're going slower than it reads), so we think it is most likely calibrated to original JDM tire size and never adjusted for USDM market...this is why I brought up the JDM size.

I realize it is ideal to be close to OE diameter (JDM or USDM) as much as possible, but 1% is not a big deal either. Some would rather have their speedo be off 1 or 2 mph for a little extra/less sidewall.

Oh, and my rims are 9" wide
