Default 16x7's with bigger 50 series sidewall.

i'm going to be purchasing wheels in a couple of months. i'm going with a 16x7 with a bigger 50 series sidewall but i'm trying to find out how far i would have to lower it so that i would have virtually no wheel well gap. someone let me know or give suggestions. thanks.

2 inch drop will virtually close up the gap and still be streetable. 16" tires needed for proper sizing is 205/50/16.

either 195/50/16 or 205/50/16 will work... the 195 is the same diameter as the stock tire and should work well on a 7 inch wheel

195 is a width not diameter. For a 7 inch wide wheel 205 or 215 is proper width. 195 will be too far stretched out to provide any rim protection.

thanks for the feedback guys. i'm trying to go with the trd suspension set up so that if something messes up i can take my car back to them without warranty bs. but, in case i don't want to go with the trd's what's a good 2" drop suspension setup? oh and will a front or rear sway bar help body roll in corners?

Some searching would give great results. and yes, a rear sway bar helps much for cornering stability. Here is a list of springs for the xB/xA.

I understand tire sizes.....i was just stating that a 195/50 will be the same diameter for speedometer reasons.....a 205/50 is a bit wider and a little taller
