205 is the narrowest 7" wide tire you can get. im running 205/45's on my 17 x 7 Lover Souls. mounting a 205/40 on a 8.5" wheel would be a fairly crazy stretch i would think. maybe the tire guru's can show me the light and tell us if i am right. i try to learn from them anyway they are the best!

Not a big stretch. Just a half inch past "recommended " specs.

Have you searched?

bBoxed recently posted a pic of 205/40 on 17x8.5 somewhere.....

Running a 205/40 on a 8.5 is the ONLY WAY TO GO! We've gone over this many a times. I have pics of this setup somehwere. Just do a search on my recent posts.

Its not a crazy stretch at all!

Alright I am feeling that look !!!!!!!!

Ok so I need a +25 offset & 8.5's all the way around, rear camber shims NOT stacked on my 10mm. shims I currently have ( one or the other you said earlier ), rolled front & rear, & coilovers or air and I will be totally set ?

And this will look ok on an xB with no body kit in your opinion & I should have no rubbing right ?

Tein Basics the way to go on this ?

I guess after this post I am all set. Thanks a million for the efforts you all put in on this, man after all this time I still love this site soooo much !!!!
