17x7 +40 rim. 205/45-17 tire. What size SPACERS do I need?

I'm driving an xB and ordered my wheels/tire combo in the size:
(17x7 +40 rim. 205/45-17 tire. )
I am planning on lowering the car with Eibach or TRD springs...(any recommendations?)
I want the wheels to come out flush with the body, so I'm shopping for spacers while I wait for my wheels to come in.
What size spacers do I need to bring the wheels out of the wheel well as far as possible without rubbing?
Do I need different sizes for the front and back?
Do I need the special "H&R spacers" that go behind the hub? Or can I get away with the spacers in front of the hub? I have +3mm spacers, and +5mm spacers that go in front of the hub, between the wheel and hub (not the H&R spacer). These will come with the wheels.
The tire rep at wheel warehouse told me that if I can turn my lugs at least 6 times, I should be ok, otherwise, I should get the H&R spacers.
Any help from the scion community is appreciated.

I would recommend the "One Ton Garage - Rear Hub Shims". They are 10mm only for the rear, which will pretty much bring the rear even with the front. They are $60, & come with instructions, about a 30 min install, you will need a torque wrench though.

Are those shims safe?
They are probably ok for street driving, but what if I put the xB in an autocross, will these shims be safe?

If you're running a 17×7 ET40 wheel, you'll need at least a 10mm spacer to be flush in the front, and probably closer to a 20mm spacer to be flush in the rear. If you do push the rear all the way out, make sure you have that rear fender lip rolled for clearance as you wouldn't want the tire to accidentally hit it when you hit a bump.

Change of plans.
I ended up getting the Hotchkis Kit. Lowers about 1.5"
I also ended up with 18x7.5 +35 offset with 215/40 tires.
I don't know kinda spacers I need for this, so I'm going to wait until they are all mounted. I do have a couple of minimal 3mm el cheapo spacers waiting in reserve. I do not know how to roll the fenders, so I want to avoid that at all costs.
Even if someone knew how to do it, I'd want to avoid it because **** happens, and if they mess it up...my fenders pay for it.

+ 40's?! Good lord, I just orderded my Work Euroline's in a 1780 +25 and 1790+20 with an O disc on the back. We are talking almost 60mm of lip on the back. Oh yeah, no spacers required an dflush with the fender. Better do some more research on wheel fitment and get the bB Bible.
