Actually, the D2s that just come out from Rota are currently available in Black or Gold only at this time.

thanks ya'll.
i just ordered some 215/40's, Falken's.
i was tempted to get the 205's but going
to Miami for Exposed next Saturday would be
some crazy shiz. tires should be here Monday.

i'm satisfied with the rims. doubt i'll keep them 'forever',
but they'll be good for the mean time.

as for the red...it was a custom paint.
mine were orignally black..but wanted to be a lil
different from the others who were fortunate to get the other 4 sets.
and still trying to stick with the red contrast theme.

take it easy fella's :D

Very nice. I would have went with 215/45, but am now curious why people advised against that tire size. Are you going to run OTG shims in the rear too? Can't wait to see pics, it's going to look way hot IMO! I'm very tempted to order a set of those same wheels in gold for my BCP box actually.

I have 215/45's as well and they ride great, but I think 2tone's gonna need all the clearance he can get with that width and offset.

Nice shoe collection BTW! Wheels aint too bad either...

I was thinking of running the D2's in the same size and offset w/215/45/17 all around. I'm on Tein S-techs and I'm running OTG shims in the rear. Think I'll have rubbing issues? Would I with 215/40/17?

im running d2's and have 215/45 and i'm dropped on tein coilovers...
the fronts rub when steeringwheel is at full turn... the rear's used to rub, till i rolled the fenders.
i have the otg shims in there too... doesnt rub after rolling fenders unless my car is packed with 4 heads. im sure rubbing issues would be less if you when 215/40...

hope this helps

How much do you figure your drop is on your coilovers?

The 205's were actually under load rated for the xB so the 215's will give you more piece of mind. Your Rims rock Bro! Keep up the good work.

Good deal Zach !!!

The red looks much better now !!!

I am going to run a 215/40/17 on my Gold D2's as well. That is what the man himself ( Rishie ) suggested to me.

Please, Please post pics asap when installed. Take nice good close ups & different angles for me bro. I would appreciate it allot !!!

thanks for the support lady and gents.
yes, i can not wait for monday!

i think Monday night Mikochu is gonna
help me install my shims.

does it not make sense if i got my tires balanced
and mounted...then later on that night take off
the rear tires and install shims?

thanks in advance ya'll.

Installing the shims after should be okay but most people would rather do it at the same time if you want to save time and labor. I would recommend doing an alignment after installing the wheels and the shims. keep us posted

I agree w/ Herb, why mount the rear wheels on, only to take them off again in a few hours to install the OTG shims?

And I come from the school of thought to always get an alignment after any new tire/wheel combo and/or suspension work.
