Just about ready to order new wheels/tires/springs for my xA. Can anyone tell me if this set up will be ok? I have wheels now but i don't like how the 42 offset looks. But,i also do not want to worry about any rubbing. The new set up iam thinking about is this:

Eibach Sportlines (2 inch drop)
15x7 20 offset wheels
205/55/15 tires
I also already have the 10mm OTG spacers in the rear.

It will definitely rub in back. I would go for a skinnier tire or take the OTG's off.

wait a minute... is this for an xA? If so wrong forum and not sure about the rear fender clearance...

Thanks for the reply Boxer. Yes this is for an xA. This is in the wrong forum? I thought the wheel and tire section was the same for the xA and xB? Anyone else have any input on the wheel/tire fitment?Thanks.

A 15x7 +20 should fit ok, I think. I might recommend taking the OTG's off in the rear though if you have any rubbing issues.

Basically, take your +42 you have now and a ruler. Measure 3cm (give a little extra room) out from where your wheel sits now, and see where your rear wheel will sit when given an extra 22mm worth of offset.

I also have a tire decision coming up. I am getting a 15x7 +13 wheels (don't ask its a secret )

What size tire should I get I was looking at 205/50/15?

I'm not sure this actually answers anybody's question, but here's my xB with 205/55-15 front, 205/60-15 rear on 15 x 7 all around, 2" drop, OTG 10mm spacers on rear:

Not 100% sure for an xA. I would try them, and if they rub, take off the OTG spacers like stated above. Or take off a front and rear wheel and measure from the the face next to a stud to the edge of your fender. 3.5" or 88.9 mm is 1/2 the width of your rim. Subtract your measurement from that and that will tell you the offset you need. Remember to take off for the lip inside the fender too if it's not rolled. If your answere is less than 20 you will not rub, if more than 20 you will. Try a smaller tire too, SEE BELOW.

CamoTrav, I would try 195/50's. 185 mm is 7.25", but low pro 185's are hard to find. 205 mm is 8". Your tires would look ballooned.

The perfect flush offset for an xB with 8" wide wheels is +17F and +10R. With 7" I would use +5F and +0R. If you have the choice.

Thanks IowaSciontist, I've already ordered the wheels and tires.Iam still on TRD springs. I'am going to wait until i have the wheels on before i order the Eibach Sportlines. As you and Zillon have stated i'll take off the OTG spacers if the rear rubs or even roll the rear fenders if i have to. Just wondering how much is it usually to have the fenders rolled at a shop? I don't want to try it myself.

Thanks. Those are German Borbet Type S wheels. I believe they're a 38 offset.
I never had a rubbing problem until I put the spacers on!
It only happens now over hard deep dips in the road - and only with a passenger - and it looks so much better with the wheels pushed out toward the edges of the wheel well, I don't really want to take them off.
I think a minor fender roll would take care of the problem anyway, since it's not that bad of a rub.
