I'm running 215/40-17 Nitto Neo-Gens on a 7 1/2 inch wide wheel. You shouldn't have any problems. I was running 205 on a 7 inch wide, but it looked a bit stretched to me. I feel it will be ok.

I'd love an answer also as I'm about to order this same size. The Enkei rims I'm considering have either 38 or 40 offset, will I have any clearance issues? FYI I'm still at stock height but will probably lower between 1"-2" shortly.

I am running the 215/ 40/ 17 Yokahama's on my car and I love the way they look and perform.

I'm running 215/45/17 and it rubs a little when making a full turn nothing serious at all. The more sidewall the better the ride.

ive got 215 40 17 on a 17 x 7 rim, its great, no stretch or rub, plus you have a little rim protection with a 215 vs a 205
