Default 40 offset rims 16 inch size

I tried the search feature and I was surprised nothing came up...search feature is my friend

Anyways I just want to play is safe and make sure that they dont require longer studs for mounting

I am pretty sure they dont...but I want to double check

its a 16 x 7 rim

16x7 at +40 would fit without a problem(most likely).

i would suggest going lower on the offset like 35 or 30 if you can.
go as low as u can find. btw, what rims are you buying?

first off,

why wouldn't you want it lower, if you do a search on: "look at my car" or like "pics" u'll see people posting up their 40-45 offset rims and the rims are sunken in like nasty.

when rims are sunken in they look a not grosser than if they were flush. when they're flush it looks a lot better, trust me.. but rota doesn't make anything lower than 40.
so i guess 40 will be what you're getting..

on a 2nd note:
rota slipstreams are a replica for SPOON SPORTS rims. model SW388
the rims were primarly made for Honda's. S2000, CIVIC, INTEGRA, ETC.
its like how bullet racing rims were made for mustangs.. but its on you.

i've seen a few misguided people who put honda rims on their car and it looks ok. its on you, but when a honda tuner see's it, its pretty much just a big bundle of laughter waiting to explode..

goodluck on your rim search

yes I know all about how they are replicas to the Spoon Sport rim....thats why i am going to buy the Rota slipstream...i like the styling of the Spoon rim but no one else makes a rim that looks exactly like it other then Rota...so I am buying Rota and just because it looks like a Spoon rim doestn mean it can only be on Honda's....so I have heard your speel plenty of times

get whatever makes you happy. Dont make decisions based on other opinions. No offense joey.

i have a 7.5 +42 on my box and everythings fine. On another note, Rotas dont have very main options as far as offsets go. But they are pretty strong rims for the money... compared to other knock off wheels.... Real racers (see rally cars) actually use these rims.

yea I wasnt asking if anyone liked them...i could care less right now...i just wanted to know if the offset was going to be ok....i knew it would but i wanted clarification...and about people using them for rally and also road racing...i know thats another reason i like them....i dont know to many companies that have a rim that cost around 500 for a set that weighs around 15 to 16 lbs for a 16 inch rim

You could argue that black rota slipstreams are copies of spoon sw388. Any other color is a copy of a desmond regamaster though. They make rims with fitments for everything. sw388's are just black regamasters with honda specific fitments.
What's with all the hate? If they fit and look good, who cares who cares about original manufacturer intent?

btw: speel should be spiel ;)
