bent my maglite
Okay so I bent/cracked one of my rims and axis doesn't make the maglites any more. I wonder if they were discontinued b/c they weren't popular, or because the wheel is structurally weak.
Are they hard to find used? I'm deciding if looking for one is a futile cause.

They are a nice looking wheel. IMO they weren't discontinued because of weakness. Thats the gamble running a light wheel like that or any wheel. I would think it would be tough finding another one. What size rim and tire were you running.

The wheel is discontinued cause they only run a wheel for a certain time before they bring in a new style.
Its a cast wheel, so it wont be as strong as a forged wheel.

very true, as far as trying to find a replacement one. good luck. If you are looking for the same style. The do make the racer-x that is like the mag-lite but with a lip. They are only made in 15" though. For pics go to www.axiswheels.com

when i read the title of this, i thought you bent your Mag Light
boy do i feel retarded.
depending on where you are, there may be a wheel shop that could refinish them, and fix whatever cracks/bends are in them.

I say have a wheel repair place give you an idea if and how much it would cost to fix. Gotta be better than searching for another one.
Also, like IowaSciontist said. Contact the Axis and see if they might have one leftover. Can't hurt to try.
