Default Best rims, approx 500 dollars, fit on stock tires

Hey, i have abt 500 to spend on rims. I'm wondering what i should get that will fit on the stock tires. Is that a horrible idea? If it is how much do u think i could sell the 4 rims and tires for to recoup some extra costs of new rims and tires. How much am i looking at spending if i replace all 4 tires along with 500 dollar rims. Abt how much would it cost to have the entire thing installed on the car?

Thanks in advance...

Keep your stock wheels. You never know when you may need them. You can plenty of 15'' wheels in your price range. Go to the sponsored sales section and look for wheelmax. They are having a sale right know and I saw some decent rims on their website.

If you order 15's, most shops will switch your tires over from the stock steelies to your new wheels for like 20 bucks a wack. I'm rocking these from discount tire. I think they were like 360.00 for all four not including shipping.

Here's a good special on Rota Grids, $380 for black with free delivery:

(I have no affiliation with the above company)

Moving on up xKEITH760x?
What are you planning on replacing with?

The wheels are Voxx MG's 15x8 +38 offset.
Check the link. Wierd though..... price hike and now they are 15x7 not 15x8... hmmm, unless I am just plain wrong. Keith, are yours 8in wide?

I like the Drag Dr16s and they are like $400 shipped from jlbmotorsports.com. I dont know what color your car is but they have a new set of gold ones that look awesome.

mattxb,

Do you have any more pictures of your car with those rims? I'd like to see a good side shot. Looking to possibly add some 15" rims to mine.

I see from your profile that you have both a 17" and 15" set of wheels. Can you describe the difference in ride, etc? I'm torn between going with 17" versus 15". I currently have my box lowered with DF210 springs.

Thanks,
Doug

Yea, I got the 15's so I would not have to ride on the stockers durring the winter. The ride does vary. The 15's are a bit of a softer ride with a little less road noise. Not that I want to discourage 17's. They do handle a bit better. Its a trade off, so whatever suites you best. Did you have a particular rim in mind?

This is the only other pic I could find. I was on H-techs back then and the ground I am on is uneven, hence the crazy raked look.

Thanks for the extra picture. Those wheels look nice!

Do you have any spacers behind them?

I like the looks of the 17" wheels just a little better, but can't decide if I want to buy just wheels or wheels/tires since my tires only have 800 miles on them.

Haven't decided on a particular wheel style yet, but I like some of the Riax brand ones and they are inexpensive: $100. Not sure how the quality is.

Matt,

My MG's are 15x7.

I'm thinking up stepping up to some 18"s...
I just can't make up my mind.

Drags I got from http://www.jlbmotorsports.com/ - way less than your budget. The stock tires would fit too if you had to do that.

My 2006 XB has Enkei GF1 rims from Discount Tires that use my stock tires. They are $112 each. I also signed up for their mailing list online and they e-mailed me a coupon for $$$ off the price. These are the hottest rims I have seen if you like a lot of spokes.
