I got mine at the NAPA store. Just gave them the # and they ordered them from their warehouse. If you don't have a NAPA near by, PM me and I'll help.

I didn't look through the whole topic, but has anyone considered or tried painting the trim rings for a little different look? I'm not a big fan of chrome either, so wondering if someone has pics of maybe a red painted trim ring.

I'm trying to find someone to powder coat my center caps . . . The finish on them doesn't last very long.

If you put a high polish and clear them the finish lasts quite a long time. But yeah, a chrome powdercoat finish would last near forever. You might want to do extras tho, incase you loose some while driving.

Thank you for the offer sir. I went to my two local napa stores today and got a set at each one. So I am rolling.

That would be super hot, something along the lines of this:

I would love blue rings on my BOP...

You could use that colored tint spray that Dublicolor has. It would give them a nice anodized look.

Exactly. I really like the look of the red on black.

Do you think the candy red transparent that we use on the tails would work? Metal vs. plastic. Might be worth a try.

Okay guys, I was going to go with the Trim Ring because I liked the look of it over nothing it all. But when I went to the place most of you got their Rings (cripedistributing on eBay)
I found something else, and bid on it for 15.50 and 13.00 in shipping. A whole 4 days later they were here and now I slapped them on at work!

So I'll have to shine up those tires when I get a chance. Maybe if it's slow at work again tomorrow.

Well Scuzzlebutt, it looks like you and I have the exact same covers! Have you looked into possibly getting yours etched? I've seen this classic car around here, can't remember, think it was a merc, that had dragonz etched into those same type caps.

Havn't heard of anyone etching them before, but I have seen them painted to match the body and thought it looked clean.

On a side note, I recently had one of mine come off while driving, it hit a curb and dented the edge but it still fits. I think i got a little excessive with the foaming tire shine. You can however bend the tabs on the hubcap out which is what I did to make them more secure on the rim, which is what I did after the incident. Now I just have to figure out a solution to the ticking problem.

Only problem with thos moon discs is you gotta remove them to check tire pressures. The will help with mpgs tho.

I just figure I'll remove them at home before I need to take my car in for anything. In case they weren't too careful, then I'd just rather be the one to scratch them up.

My solution to the ticking problem (which I had on my stock caps also) Is just learning to deal with it or turning up the stereo. lol But if you find something else, ScuzzleButt, let me know! ;)
