I was leary on how well those would stay on. They looked hot.
Have you tried to get a replacemnet from the place you got them? Is there anything that could be done to make them more secure?

Polish the center caps with Mother metal polish and then clear them. They will stay nice for a long time like that. Also use some black 3M trim adhesive when you mount them to keep them from falling off.
Please post up some pics of the finished results.

I mean after you polish them, wipe them with some rubbing alcohol and spray them with heat resistant clear spray paint. I actually dipped mine in automotive clearcoat and let then dry. It will keep them from rusting and retain the shine far longer. Hope this helps.

Awesome thanks. Can I do the same with the rings? I got aluminum ones off ebay, they should be here within a week, depending on how quick the shipping is.
So, checlklist:
Rubbing Alc
Heat Resistant Clear Spray Paint
Black 3m Trim Adhesive (on the inside i'd assume).
Hmm ok, ty :-)

Not sure about aluminum trim rings? Never heard of them. I got polised stainless ones. If they are aluminum just repolish them with Mothers and wax them. They should stay nice for a long time. I only cleared the caps cause they are bare steel.
On the adhesive just a small bead around the edge where they contact the rim will do. Plus with it being black it will bled in and not be noticeable.

I originally bought my tercel caps from a scionlife member, and he's all out. I was thinking about attatching some semi-high strength magnets to the inside of the cap. I might also just try some tape on the inside rim. The problem with them is that; a) the lug nuts on the xB don't line up with the tercel cap covers and b) they cap only comes in contact with the wheel in one spot, and it's very little contact at that.

Damn, well I got them today and put them on, along with the cneter caps. I'm still waiting for my set of all Chrome lugs, and Chrome tire valve covers.
But I've got to say, holy CRAP this is my car? look at the far away pictures, actually looks like rims. LOL
I don't think I've been this excited over 30-40 bucks in a long time. Yeah, well worth the 30-40 for the whole set up and way cheaper than wheels!

Looks great - I can't wait till my trim rings get here.
Sorry to ask this in two different threads, but those of you who've done it: was it worth it clearcoating your rims? I haven't done any research on what's involved in doing so, but frankly, I needs them to be SHINIES. :D

As long as the black is intact the clear will shiney them up. Just make sure to wipe them down good with rubbing alcohol and paper towel so the clear sticks good. Also start with 2 lighter coats to prevent drips/runs.
