That part number is only good at NAPA. Its a part# out of their Balkamp catalog. If I remember right the dimensions were 2.448 ID and 1.34 tall.

Thanks bhatfield99! Just picked up my set of four 730-2411's and they are PERFECT. They're going to look so nice w/ the trim rings, I'm going to have a hard time waiting until I get my chrome lugs.

Note: I only paid $4.22 TOTAL, for ALL FOUR CAPS! I'm not sure if my store messed up the price or yours did, but they only charged me $1.99 per box (which contains two caps). Hope other people get as lucky as I did.

To those who have these caps ... nobody else is worried about these falling off if you hit a harsh bump? I realize that they are fairly snug and are cheap to replace, but I just spent 50 minutes waiting for the NAPA manager to find them and 'd rather not do that again for a loooong time.

I thought the same thing when I got mine but try and take one off and youll see just how tight they are. The only thing i did notice is that the end of the axle touches the inside of the cap ever so slightly and makes a little noise at slow speeds. However ive had mine on and I think the noise is slowly going away. I think the stub has machined its own little grove in the cap. Good price on the caps though, the 1.99 is supposed to be each. Always glad to help out.

....That may be the cotter pin at the end of the spindle.
Try to flatten any part that sticks out with a hammer.

Yup, I'm rockin' them too thanks to this thread. I did have one go flying off, so I picked up a spare just in case. A little Nevr-Dull and elbow grease makes them shine nicely.

So nobody else is experiencing the rubbing noise from the front ones? Bummer, im the one who found these things and im the one having problems. Not that its a big problem, you can only hear the noise cruising through the slow neiborhoods. Ill check that though and see if its the cotter pin they are hitting. Thanks!

Well, I was trying to listen for this but I can't tell. My trim rings are a bit loose on my driver's side, so they make a lot of noise already. I don't think that the grease caps have added any rattle/whine, but I can't really be sure until I adjust my rings.

The trim rings on my xB are JC Whitney part #ZX733297A. I've had them for months, and they've never fallen off.

I got them through the web, but you may be able to get the same item cheaper through the JCW catalog. I say this because the paper catalog, which they included in my shipment, listed identical-sounding trim rings with an almost-identical part number (different prefix, same digits) for several dollars cheaper.

Please, bear with me; I’ve yet to really understand the whole wheels, rims & tires thing. (Heck, until recently I thought they were all one piece.)

I like the look of these trim rings (and I really like the price!) They seem like a nice alternative to the stock wheel covers I’m sporting now.

xBHAWK: I followed your link to:

And no issues with rubbing or falling off? I don’t mind paying a few extra bucks if it means I don’t have to mess w something later.

Stupid Question: How do you put these on? I'm not sure I've ever even touched my tires before. I'm guessing it involves a screwdriver. . .

Also, are you actually changing the lug nuts, or are those little caps you pop over the existing nuts? Either way, where do I get them? Is that a real generic part?

The stock lug nuts are cheap and ugly. Hit this link for the most animal CHROME LUG NUTS. GORILLA LUG NUTS:

These are not caps or falsies, but real steel lug nuts that gleam in the sun light.
$3.29 for a set of 4. You need 4 sets of four to do all your lugs.
Swap them with a lug wrench, one came with the xB. Torque down the lug nuts to 80psi.
Do not have a torque wrench? Me neither, so just tighten as much as you can, push down with 80 pounds of your own weight.

Those are the exact trim rings that I have,1503. They have the same type clip/spring that holds your stock hubcap on. No tools needed to install, line up the valve with the valve cut out in the trim ring and push gently in to the wheel. They pop on just like your hubcaps
do and they will not fall off. No rubbing issues. To remove, carefully pry next to a wheel weight there may be a gap between the wheel and the trim ring. Use a flat head screw driver or a quarter but be careful not to scratch the finished surface of the trim rings.

Three mods:
Gorilla Lug Nuts
Trim Rings
Center caps

These three mods can be done by any good woman willing to wash her hands afterwards or wear gloves. The stock wheels will fade and look ugly quickly. Wash them. Wax them.
I remove my wheels, do a tire rotation, and wash and wax the inside and outside of these steel wheels, about twice each year. Also armor-all the inside wall and the outside walls of my four tires.

And, LIESjemt, just to be sure, you do have a CABIN AIR FILTER in your xB, right? If not then read 'Fabricate your own CABIN AIR FILTER' thread in the tech section.

Nope, no torque wrench. But I've got 80lbs. (Heck, I have an extra 25.) Plus my hands get dirty every day. Just not car grease before.

If the cabin air filter is aftermarket I don't have one. I’ll look into it when I get back to town.

did the grease cups and acorn lugnutz, bought metal(chromed of course) beauty rings.. had to bend out the "grip ring" a bit with a small screwdriver to get a tight and even fit to the rim..
so far so good...
