This is even taller than the 215/35R19 tires for the 19" application. There's a good chance you're going to see rubbing issues, plus at 50mph, you will be going 52.6mph and when your odometer shows 1000 miles, you will actually have traveled 948.09 miles. It's recommended to stay within 3% of OE sizing if you want to keep the speedometer and odometer accurate. I'd go 215/40R17. If you'd like a bit more meat, then perhaps 225/40R17 which is only 1.46% larger than stock.
Alchemist is right...

I believe the odometer statement is backwards, when you have traveled 1000 actual miles, your odometer will read 948.1 miles. 1 rotation of the bigger will covers more distance that the stock odometer is calculated for... same reason why you are actually going faster than the speedometer reads.

I drive a lifted truck running 37" BFGs I've been down this road before...

A stock tire on an xB (circ = 74.58in) rotates 849.54 times per mile (at any speed) increasing tire diameter (and circumfrence) lowers this number. Alchemist is running a 225/45/17 (circ = 78.45in) which rotates 807.61 times per mile. Basically, the computer says to it's self the axles are turning at 849.54 times per minute, I will reflect a speed of 60 mph and log one mile on the odometer every ~850 turns. So on the 850th turn the odometer clicks from .9 to 1.0, but Alchem already passed that point on tire turn 808. Thus, hiding the extra 42 turns and the extra 206.6ft Alchemist traveled.

So when I trade my F-250 with 107K miles on it running 37" tires and stock gears, I will know that I actually drove my truck closer to 125K miles... it adds up over time. Keep track of this for percise drivetrain maintenance... or get your car recalibrated.

Thought I'd share my experience. I just got a set of Konig Rewinds - 15x7 - 4x100 - +20 offset for my 2006.5 xB. Perfect fit in my opinion. Brings the wheels out to a flush point, and does not rub anywhere. I should mention that I used 205/55R15 tires. I do not have a drop...yet.

I added the link in my original post at the top of this page. Here it is... https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=171952

I only used a bathroom scale to weigh them. I think the wheel and tire combo came in around 37 lbs. I believe the wheel was 14.6 lbs according to another website I found.

That shouldn't be a problem... I'm 18x7.5 et42... so 17" should be just fine.

Default will these wheels/tires work for my car

So i'm looking for a set of wheels and a set of tires to match my 07 BSP xB.

I came across these 16" ASA ar1s that i like, the picture on tirerack looks like its a 5 bolt pattern, but the site has it listed as a 4 bolt pattern.

Also, when looking for tires, tirerack recommended/and i like a 205/50-16. i didn't see that size on the 1st-Gen Wheel & Tire buyers guide, so will these tires fit?

205/50-16 should fit just fine. about 8/10th's of an inch wider tire track and about a half inch over all diameter size diffrence so it would be just fine.

I'll admit I didn't read through all 14 pages of posts, but I thought I'd toss this out there...

The Mazda Miata has the same bolt pattern (4x100) and center bore (54.1) as the stock XB rims (according to the chart on page one...)

Lots of choices there... and since the Miatas are so widely run on the track, there are a lot more rims choices... only "drawback" is that they sometimes in a RWD type of offset, like 30mm.

Do you folks know about this URL yet?

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

An offset calculator

According to that, a 7 inch wide rim with a 30mm offset would be +5mm closer to the strut housing and +21mm towards the outside of the car... I'm really leaning towards these rims for the box... http://www.flyinmiata.com/wheels/KZ-M-MX.php moving my 205/60/15s over to em.

Oh yes. 60 series... so nice and comfy and quiet inside! And they still handle/stick much nicer then the stock tires did.
