Buyers Guide: Scion xA/xB Wheels

What kind of spacers do you use or recommend? I am looking at the Ichiba off of ebay for $129. Preferably a spacer that will not require me to chop off my oem studs (25 mm spacers maybe?). I also hear rear hub spacers works well.

i think 95% of scion xb1/xa owners go to hub spacers before they go to wheel spacers. its much better on your car, and no stress to hub and bearings, compared to wheel spacers which create unnecessary torque on those parts. i myself have a 20 mm rear hub spacers i got from bbszero, who sells em from his own manufacturer.

I installed 15x6.5 +38 offset rota grids on my xA. The fronts needed 5mm spacers. I'm not sure if they're wheel or hub spacers, but i'm assuming it's wheel. The shop I had it installed at just said spacers so yea.

17" inch Enkei FN-18, Hankook tires K106 225/45R-17;42mm offset
I got this rim's about 2 years ago for an Honda Accord. I put them on it, and hated the way they looked. So since then, I had been trying to sell them for about the 2 years. Well, I just bought my first Scion. An 2005 xA. I posted a question on this site to see if my old rims and wheels would fit but no one replied. So, Yesterday I took them down and slapped them on. and I have to say, they look wonderful. Way better then they did on the 2002 Honda Accord I had. I have no rubbing issues. Sometime down the line I will look at putting some lowing springs on, but for now I am just going to enjoy the ride as it is. I am also tinting the windows soon. Let me know What you guys think.
Loving the site.

hey everyone i just got some enkei bobt 18's Part number 00041-79018 the 18inch rim option on the customization from what i heard. their nice rims i got them on the bargain. now im worried about the hub centric rings i know these rims were designed for scion xa/xb but im wondering if i need the rings cause they didnt come with the rims.

^^^ huh? it doesn't make sense to me. offset is not the reason why tires rub inside or against the fender. With 15's, you should have no rubbing issues even with a 2 inch drop. I'm saying this in xA perspective, not sure about the xB. If your 2inch drops makes it so your fingers don't even fit in between the fender and tire, then yea you will need a high offset.

I have a xA.
I bought a set of tanabe's 2" lowering springs.
I was looking to put on 215/45/17
I currently have 205/40/17 with TRD springs. I don't know my rim offset.
I don't like the wheel gap. So I figured to put the tanabes and then bigger tires and fill the wheel gap up.
With the taller tires it should help keep me off the ground a little more so I won't scrape to often.
I have 3/4 hub spacers in the rear. I also have a 10mm or bigger wheel spacer in the front. I also have a 5 mm spacer If I need to use it.
I already rolled my fenders with total success.
So my question is Can I fit a set of 215/45/17 in with a 2" drop?
I don't think this has been done very often by reading through every page on this forum.

lol i'm pretty sure it can be done. i'm thinking about going 215/50/17 with 2 in drop. i haven't measured from the floor to fender yet, but you should after you put on the springs OR subtract 2 inches after adding the trd drop plus the current length. 215/45/17 has a diameter of 24.6 inches. 215/50 is 25.5 inches. that is what you got to work with.

I've got 215/45/17 on TRD lowering springs. No wheel spacers or rolled fenders and I never get rubbing issues. Granted it's not as big a drop as 2 inches but with all the extra stuff you have a few extra mm shouldn't harm you

Thanks guys for your reply.
I'm going to put them on. I just have to burn through the tread life that's left on the tires that I have.
What I really want with this new drop and wheel fitment is; CAMBER.
There's a scion camber society out there and the look is awesome.
The problem is there hard to find. It takes skill to make them right.
The legit makers are few.
Anyone out there looking to part with some legit camber with toe?

now I was wondering. An sorry to say I doubt that anyone that is still on here would know, but as far as running say -3 camber what would be the top 4 best brand/model tires to use?

I was looking at buying some -3 camber. Just kind find someone at the moment that makes legit camber shims. I must have patience.
In my research I found
"Nitto - Neo Gen" tires. They are designed to run on lower vehicles with negative camber.
A place that I found them cheap was TireBuyer.com.
There prices are really good and they have free shipping.
