anybody, I ask, because in the beg of this sticky, someone says they were running a 235/35/18, would + 42 better than plus 40?

you can use 215-40-17.. you will have zero rubbing issues with that size..

16x7 wheels (A-Tech Finalspeed)
205/50/16 tires (Yokohama AVS ES100)
15mm H&R TRAK rear spacers
Tein S-Tech springs
No rubbing — even with four people in the car.

Yeah. . . I love 'em. . . decreases the wheel gap a bit, and actually doesn't mess the speedo up too badly. In fact, I think I think it's more accurate on taller tires. By driving by those portable police radar speed displays, I found that my speedo is pretty damn accurate, even up to 75mph, it was still dead on. Maybe the stock speedo is grossly off?

The butt dyno doesn't feel much of a difference. . . and the car rides fine. I find that keeping the PSI high definitely helps.

17x7.0 . . . . . . . 38 . . . . . . . . . . . . . 215/45-17 . . . . xB stock

This implies then that the overall tire height will be equal to the stock tires, therefore not affecting speedometer?

I really should know the answer to this but I want a professional opinion.

xB. With DF210's.

Wanting to get 15 OR 16x7" wheels with with +35 or +40 offset.

First, which would be the better offset? (I would like the wheels to look fat y0)

Second, what is the best tire size to get maximum width and contact points, (I want them to look as wide as possible but not rub)

Thanks a bunch!

on a 15x7 wheel you want a 40 offset, and tire size you could probably go 215/55/15.

Alright.

So +40 should be cool for 16x7, too? Along with like a 215/40 or 45 tire?

please post:
18x7.5 . . . . . . . 45 . . . . . . . . . . 215/35-18 . . . .front rubs at full lock, rear is metal on metal(rim on control arm)

I am pretty steamed about this - I bought the wheels as a dealer option, motegi FF7s, which are offered by every dealer in my area. how could anyone possibly have thought that these fit? I have only had them on a short time...I bought them with the car, but soon swapped out the stockers for winter. I have only actually run a few thousand miles in them, but tonight, as I was installing some spacers, I found that the spacers were going to be much more than just a cosmetic mod.

here are the numbers I came up with..
215/45/17, 17x7=24-6 height
215/50/16, 16x7=24-5 height..
here is the link and you can play with your own numbers.. really cool
