Do 19*7.5 rub on stock springs on a 05 XB
Whats up from Miami. I was just wondering if i put 19*7.5 on my 05 Xb will it rub? I just dont want to spend the money on my wheels and have a problem later and also if they dont rub can I install TRD springs and not have a problem? Thanks for the help.

19" Rims
I have driven an xB with 19” and it did not rub, but the xB did not have stock springs in it. I have been told if you have stock springs that 19” will rub on the front when turning sometimes. But I think if you change your springs to the lowering springs it should work fine.
Hope this helps some!
Thanks! :D

It all depends on the offset of the rims. I have 19X7.5 inch wheels with a 45mm offset and 225-35-19 inch tires and my car is dropped with Tanabe springs. I had to use spacers in the back so the tires wouldn't rub. I also had to massage the front alittle bit to stop the rubbing when I made hard U-turns. My car is perfect now, even when I have 5 people in it. No rubbing at all :D

Sorry!

Wheel width determines the importance of offset, not diameter. Offset is the distance from the center of the wheel to the mounting surface on the wheel where it meets the wheel hub. The lower the offset (can even go into the negatives) the further away from the center of the vehicle the wheel is. Most stock FWD cars need/use a positive offset around 35-45mm. Wider wheels typically need lower offsets to help fit the wheel with proper backspacing (more backspacing means better clearance between the wheel and the suspension components). If you want, there are tons of helpful articles on the web with regards to backspacing, scrub radius, and offsets. Just Google em... :D Or you could ask any of us. Good luck with the wheel selection!

Sorry Munch!
Sorry I am not as much of an expert as you!!!!
All I know is that I put my rims on just by taking the stock rims off and putting the new ones on. I did not need to do anything else.
But thanks for belittling me! I guess I will come to you for all of my technical questions from now on, because you know so much and it looks like I know nothing!
Thanks! :D

Don't get it twisted, I'm not trying to belittle anyone, just sharing information. That's what these forums are for. I knew something I thought might help Delane make a good decision. One Scion peep to another. A month ago I didn't know jack about wheels, but I read up many sources for days on end ... Sorry if I offended you.
Also, Delane, there is a wheel fitment Sticky on this site: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=348

Stock wheel is 15"x5.5" with a 38 offset. As long as you don't go too wide in the tire a higher than stock offset will fit without spacers/shims. Lower offsets shouldn't be much of a problem. I put my 17"x7" with 40 offset on my xB and I wasn't comfortable with the ~5mm clearance on the right rear suspension, so I plan to go with a lower offset like ~25-35 on my next wheels. But, most people don't seem to have any problems with 40+ offset 7"+ wheels. Hope that helps. :D
