i didnt start this thread for everyone to bash 501's...what are they (a rim) what does a rim do (fit inside a tire, hold air and roll around)...is a JDM rim gonna hold air and roll around better than a sportmax (probably not)...
I live in Biloxi mississippi, not only that i live on the beach, Katrina reaped havoc on any and everything here including the roads...I can tell you this...I would rather damage a sportmax rim that can be easily replaced than a JDM namebrand rim that cannot...
dont bash people that are on a budget, like Ian said, in the end this is just a car, something to get you from point a to b...
And Will, i have never heard of anything smaller than a 50 for a 15" rim...did you get those off the internet or what...its blowing my mind...

yea I ordered mine off the internet. I use Federal 595's I use a 195/45/15 on the gothbox, and a 205/40/16 for the DOA.

I could not believe it when I found a 195/45/15 haha...so my rim of choice is the Drag dr20 low offset in black they are a 15 inch rim with a +10 offset...its gonna be hot!

But yea. As nice as it might be to have genuine JDM stuff, it's not always practical.
Either way, I put the 501s on mine the other day and I'm very happy with em. I could care less who thinks it's lame.

Secondly, Sportmax's are not a cheap knockoff, 501s are not a replica of anythingto my knoledge! They are a cheap alternative to expensive low offset wheels, and a lot better than running enkeis and motegis like everybody else (no offense to people sporting those).
Also, I bought used JDM wheels, Work Leadsleds, and with shipping, they are still $1900, not a huge bargain, but better than $2800 for new ones I guess.
I looked at your profile and didnt see your car, or anything done to it, so what is your mod lineup looking like? It had better be stacked!
