i didnt start this thread for everyone to bash 501's...what are they (a rim) what does a rim do (fit inside a tire, hold air and roll around)...is a JDM rim gonna hold air and roll around better than a sportmax (probably not)...

I live in Biloxi mississippi, not only that i live on the beach, Katrina reaped havoc on any and everything here including the roads...I can tell you this...I would rather damage a sportmax rim that can be easily replaced than a JDM namebrand rim that cannot...

dont bash people that are on a budget, like Ian said, in the end this is just a car, something to get you from point a to b...

And Will, i have never heard of anything smaller than a 50 for a 15" rim...did you get those off the internet or what...its blowing my mind...

I know a guy that only makes $10 and hours, has a RSX with a full JDM motor and body swap, JDM kit, Advan wheels, Jackson Supercharger, plus whatever else. He save for the good stuff. You keep buying the cheap stuff, you will never have the money to get ahead and buy the good stuff.

And like I said, you can buy good used JDM. BRAND NAME, wheels from a few different places for a little more than you would spend for new generics.
Lighten up man....keep in mind I do not run these HOWEVER I have been tuning imports and cars long enough to know that ALMOST ALL THESE JDM WHEEL STYLES are copies... Hey I ran Hayashi Racing wheels on my 84 300ZX 50th Anniversary model about 22 years ago and back then they were $2,500 so I just might know my way around some of these wheels over the years....and what you call cheap today may be be considered quality down the road...good examples of that happening are Rota,Konig..years ago they were considered the bottom end..now look

Glad you see it my way, Dane.
But yea. As nice as it might be to have genuine JDM stuff, it's not always practical.

Either way, I put the 501s on mine the other day and I'm very happy with em. I could care less who thinks it's lame.

I see you post this same exact reply in multiple threads. So what, you are a brand snob. Good for you and good for your wallet. Also good for your buddy. 1. Either he lives with his parents and has nothing else to pay for and buys all that stuff making 10 dollars an hour. or 2. He is in a ton of debt and puts all that really neat-o stuff on a credit card. But your snotty opinion and the way you approach it is just plain stupid.

As said before, your buddy lives at home with mommy and daddy, I have a $1200/month mortgage, plus utilities so I can actually live there, see if he can afford Ramen noodles and pay a house at $10/hour.

Secondly, Sportmax's are not a cheap knockoff, 501s are not a replica of anythingto my knoledge! They are a cheap alternative to expensive low offset wheels, and a lot better than running enkeis and motegis like everybody else (no offense to people sporting those).

Also, I bought used JDM wheels, Work Leadsleds, and with shipping, they are still $1900, not a huge bargain, but better than $2800 for new ones I guess.

I looked at your profile and didnt see your car, or anything done to it, so what is your mod lineup looking like? It had better be stacked!
