How big can you go?

The simple answer is 20s. I won't get into a long drawn out post, but every wheel has to be looked at individually for fitment. You could probably get all the way up to a 20x8.5 or even 20x9 to work with proper fitment at stock height. You will probably have an easier time getting a set of 20x7.5 or 20x8 to fit though.
Also stick with a small tire. Something like he Nitto 555 225/35/20. Or even the 225/30, 235/30 and 225/35 in the Nitto Neo Gen to save a little money. Just be careful with a 30 series sidewall. They don't offer much in the way of protection.
Not that the 35s are much better.

if you go with something wider than a 7.5 will want to and most likely need to get some one ton garage shims to push the inside of the wheel away from the rear stabilizer bar. but a set of 20's would look bangin. good luck.
