It scared me to read his thread on what happened. If wheel locks don't work, what does? Is there a certain kind of wheel lock that works better?
I'm sure many with upgraded wheels and tires are curious to know also. Does any know or have any experience?

I have had a set of wheels and tires stolen. They had locking lugs on them, but it didn't matter. If a theif wants something bad enough, he'll get it. Locking lug nuts, like car alarms, etc., are deterrants, and they way I look at it, the more deterrants you can use, the better.

I was watching a report on the news a couple of years back (local news), and they had a reformed car thief showing the reporter how he would choose his vehicles. Basically what Sushiboy said "The more deterrants, the better" or in the thifes case, worse. The X-thief said the same thing. He said that if a car looked like it had a few theft detterants, than he would just move on. There are plenty of cars without them.

Somehow, I think these might do the trick.

One of these on each wheel should do the trick.

Buy 4 sets of McGard wheel locks. I'd hate to be the mechanic who rotates your tires, but it'd be safer.
Just get the McGard SplineDrive kit, Henford! Quit being a little boba! It comes with 4 locks, SplineDrive lug nuts, and 4 valve stems...

those type are the best because you need an actual key to go in the middle to unlock. Not just a special socket.
