Default Konig Rewind 15x7's

I am considering going back down to a 15in wheel due to the roads on my daily commute being trashed. One of the wheels I am looking at is the Konig Rewind. Being my current wheels are 17x7 40 offset I know roughly how these are going to sit in the fender.

Let me know your opinions on this wheel or if you have pictures of these on your box post them up please.

Konig Rewind 15x7 40mm offset

I absolutely love them but for the price theyre bleh. I dont know. Rota makes something close. The real wheels are the Wanatanbes though. These are kind of knock offs of those. Theyre real nice wheels though. I considered it for awhile. For the price though, thats too much for 15s IMO.

I am still searching for the best price. I saw them for $100-$115 a piece but I am sure they can be found for less.

oh thats not bad. when i saw them they just hit the market and all i could find was around 600 shipped.

100-115 isnt bad. i think theyre good looking wheels. if i didnt order a new set already i might think about these at that price

I too was real interested in this exact wheel, yet haven't been able to spend the time looking for the best place to buy them from. I would really appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction. I just LOVE these wheels. They look like the race wheels on the original Mini-Coopers from the 1960's. I will get the 15's and don't think $100 - $120 is a bad price, yet being a new Konig I wonder about availability. The offset is also an issue and I couldn't find any specs anywhere. Any way, SUPERB CHOICE !!!

Check these out in person at Pro 1 Motorsport in San Leandro. They're address and contact info are on the website:

www.pro1motorsport.com

Ask for Esteban or Jimmy. Esteban has an xB riding on 20's! It's pretty wild.

They had two sets of the Rewinds in stock: 15x7, 40mm offset, one set in silver and one in gunmetal. IIRC, they were $120 a piece. They have very reasonable pricing on mounting and balancing.

I wanted to pull the trigger on the gunmetals (no pun intended), but just didn't have the funds to commit to the wheels.

Good luck!

Since I've moved to into the city, I've been searching for 15s too.

How about Chapparal wheels? (dougcbx : these might be just waht you're looking for!) I think they are 60s old school replicas from minis. They look like much nicer quality and you can get em on ebay for about $450 shipped...15x7 +38

I 'd get these if they had better offsets....

Konig Rewinds come in 0 offset. Just add camber.

Best price I have been given is $450 for a set and the shop is close to my family in SoCal so I can just have them pick up the wheels. I am still shopping though. I'll just end up using the wedding as a excuse to by them for myself.

Hmm, Panasports in 18 inch w/ staggered offsets would be nice. Or even in 15 inch would be cool. Oops, am I showing my age again?

Just ordered my set of Konig Rewinds this afternoon. Paid five bills to my door. They're hard little suckers to come by. Perseverance and Road Runner pays off.

The 0 offset Rewinds DO NOT come in 4x100. I contacted Konig directly regarding this same wheel. They said they will only be offering the 4x100 in +40 offset. If these came in better offsets and wider widths, I would have already picked up a set.

That was the one thing I did not check on. Thanks Bull. I wouldn't have the guts to try and run 0 offset.

Hells yeah to both of those wheels Brian & Rico. Ever since I cracked my 17's, I have been rolling on my stockers. I'm not going to lie, I like it. Something about a 60 series tire versus a 40 series when you are slammed on coilovers that your back & kidneys like the meats better.

I really like that Chaparral wheel. If I could find a set of wheels for like $110 each that I liked, I would totally get it.

Danny I'll send you a PM. I am either going to go with these wheels or a 16x7 40 offset wheel I stumbled across. 205/50/16 should still give me the added comfort I am looking for on the 16x7.
