Yah, that's the way I roll. Stock steelies on a Polar White. Picked up some trim rings from 0'Reiley's for not much bucks.
Anyone been running the steelies for long? I got my xB in May and have been sans hubcaps from day one. The black wheels ain't so black now, more a greyish. Is that just oxidation, that a good wax/compound will take off, or have they actually faded?
Was thinking of having them powdercoated a nice wet looking black.

I've got the stock steelies without wheelcovers on my BCP xA. BCP looks best with black wheels.
And after a couple of nasty potholes, the bent outer lip is easily fixed with big hammer and a spray can.
BTW, I actually looked into having my stock steel wheels widened. You can get them widened to any width you want with any offset. Of course, it cost $140 per wheel, not including your steel wheels and shipping to and from. Perhaps if I win the lottery...

No need to spend $140 a wheel plus shipping to and from. Just order a whole new set to your specifications. Your choice of width and offset.
15x8 with a custom offset are only $85 a wheel! And if you are getting flares and want to go really wide, you can get those with a custom offset for $105 a wheel. And he narrower you go, the cheaper it is.
Just contact Wheels of Steel in Visalia, CA if you are interested. You can see their website at http://www.custombuiltsteelwheels.com. The wheels you are interested in are the "WS60".

Also on steelies.
I just waxed my wheels for the first time and they look rad.
I tried on some bB hubcaps for a month and prefer the blackout look of the steelies better.
I've only seen one other box on steelies in town, driven by a young girl--was that you, pflocal?
